Grow A Garden launched its highly anticipated Farm Cosmetics update yesterday, May 24, with nearly 9 million players tuning in. The update introduced a new Cosmetics Shop and a wide variety of in-game cosmetics available for purchase.
Cosmetics in Grow A Garden are decorative items that you can plant around your garden lot. They offer a way to customize your garden, adding visual personalization that makes it even more unique.
There are tons of cosmetic items available for purchase, including the go-to gnome decorative pieces, a wheelbarrow, a white bench, a wishing well, and much, much more. These items are completely decorative, meaning they don’t have any traits, abilities, or perks that will boost your garden growth.
The best part of the Farm Cosmetics update is that all the items in the Cosmetics Shop can be purchased using in-game currency, Sheckles - meaning you don’t have to spend a dollar to join in on the decorating fun.
The Cosmetics Shop also cycles in quicker now, at only 4 hours, as opposed to the 24-hour cycle it had during launch. Every cycle, the shop rotates 9 items, offering a lineup of decorative items ranging from common to Mythical rarities.
To begin decorating, click on the tools button (next to the inventory button) on the top left of your screen to activate Build Mode. Your cosmetics inventory will open, and you can click on an item to have it appear near you in the garden.
Click on the item, then drag the Move button to place it anywhere in your garden. You can also rotate the item by pressing on the arrow button or put it back in your inventory using the last button on the right.
Cosmetics cannot be placed outside of your garden lot. If you feel like there isn’t enough space for decorations, consider expanding your garden by interacting with the “Expand Garden” sign, available on each side of your lot. Each expansion costs 250 million, so be ready for some hefty spending!
