A side quest in Hogwarts Legacy carries the poetic title "A Dash of Love." Behind it lies an exciting treasure hunt in the enchanted and forbidden forest. We will now show you exactly how to reach the goal and uncover the treasure.

The basis is the treasure map in your inventory, which shows a bridge and floating candles; you receive it relatively early in the game:

Locating the starting point of the treasure hunt is not particularly challenging, as you will have definitely walked this path before when you first went to Hogsmeade.

The journey goes to the Floo Flame at the Forbidden Forest

The bridge in question is located near the entrance to the Forbidden Forest. You can conveniently travel there via the Floo Flame at the forest, but you should definitely make sure to embark on this journey at night. From the Floo Flame, you only need to walk a few meters westward to reach the bridge, the starting point of your treasure hunt.

Once there, use the Lumos spell, which is very clearly indicated on the map. This will cause the floating candles to appear, which you will now follow into the Forbidden Forest.

Always follow the floating candles

Normally, you might encounter various dangerous opponents in the Forbidden Forest, but when following the candles, you should remain unbothered according to our experience. If you diligently stay on the trail of the floating wax lights, they will lead you directly to the treasure. It is located in a chest that you will discover next to a table and two chairs, the abandoned site of a hauntingly romantic dinner date, right in the middle of the forest.

Now you just need to loot the treasure chest to claim 400 gold coins and the Treasure Seeker's Scarf as your own. With that, the search and the quest are complete, and you can plunge into the next adventure.
