Fish It has introduced an intriguing new location, Iron Cavern—a hidden zone on the classic island in the game. Inside, you'll find the Iron Cafe—the only place in the game where players can catch disco-mutated fish, including the highly coveted Disco Pufferfish. The cavern is a crucial progression point in Fish It. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer, you should know how to access the Iron Cavern and what this secret area holds.
How to Enter Iron Cavern in Fish It
To enter the Iron Cavern, players must be at level 200 or above. There are no requirements for specific items, money, fish, etc.—it's purely a level check.
How to Find the Entrance to Iron Cavern
First, head to Classic Island. Take a boat and sail to the location named Classic Island.

The entrance to Iron Cavern is easy to miss, so follow these instructions to find the path to the portal leading to the secret zone.
- Head to the shop run by NPC Shedletsky and climb the stairs nearby.
- Ascend the first ladder and continue up the stairs.
- Climb the second ladder to reach NPC John Doe.
- Behind John Doe, you'll see a pink portal shimmering on the stone wall.
- Interact with the portal to enter: PC players hold the E key, and mobile players tap the Interact button on the screen.
- Inside, you'll find yourself in a dimly lit hall with pools, stone stairs, and closed iron gates leading to the Iron Cafe.

How to Unlock Iron Cafe in Fish It
The most interesting place in Iron Cavern is the Iron Cafe, but you can't just walk in. First, you need to perform a small ritual involving four unique guppies found only in the cavern's pools.

Required Guppy |
Builderman Guppy |
Guest Guppy |
Brightness (or BrightEye) Guppy |
Shedletsky Guppy |

Once you've caught all four, place each one on the corresponding pedestal in the center of the cavern. Each correct placement activates a beam of light that hits the central pillar. When all beams connect, the large doors to Iron Cafe will open.

What Happens Inside Iron Cafe in Fish It
Iron Cafe is an exclusive zone for disco-mutated fish.
Inside the cafe, there is one fishing pool. Under normal circumstances, it yields standard disco-mutated variants, but during a special server event, its value significantly increases.
The disco event occurs every two hours and lasts for 30 minutes. When it activates, the entire server receives a notification, and the Iron Cafe begins spawning temporary rare creatures.
This is the only place and time when the Disco Pufferfish appears. Its catch chance is 1 in 2000, making it one of the toughest trophies in the game.

Retro Maja—The Rarest Fish in Iron Cavern in Fish It
The Classic Island update introduced Retro Maja—a secret-level fish that surpasses even the Disco Pufferfish in rarity.
Retro Maja has a red, tapered body, a sharp fang-like tooth protruding from a grin, and eyes with animated yellow flames. Its incredible catch chance—1 in 4,000,000—makes it the ultimate trophy of the Iron Cavern update.
It appears only in two locations:
- Inside Iron Cavern
- Inside Iron Cafe
Your best chance to see it—however slim—is during the Disco Event. The boosted pool activity helps make more casts during those 30 minutes.
