Evomon Tier List

In Evomon, success in battle depends on the monsters you bring with you. A strong team composition can significantly ease your progress, while a weaker team will frequently face challenges against more dangerous opponents.

Since the right choice of monsters can greatly influence your progress, it's important to know who to invest resources in and who to leave aside. To simplify this task, we've prepared a comprehensive tier list of the game's monsters, evaluating them based on their final evolution forms.

S-tier Evomons:

Lavarock stands out as one of the most reliable choices among Fire-type Evomon. It particularly excels in the late stages of the game and performs well against Grass, Bug, Steel, and Ice-type opponents. If you need a powerful fire fighter that remains useful throughout your progress, Lavarock is a very good choice.

Water, Ground, and Rock enemies can pose serious problems for it, so Lavarock works best in a team with allies that can cover these weaknesses.

Terragon is a strong option for players looking for a durable and stable Grass-type core. It brings a lot of value against teams relying on Water, Ground, and Rock, making it a reliable defensive and strategic core for many compositions.

At the same time, Terragon may struggle against powerful Fire, Flying, Ice, Bug, or Poison attacks. To ensure it consistently performs well, it's important to build a team that addresses these weaknesses.

Terragon Evomon

Volcrest is a strong Flying-type choice, particularly excelling where speed, pressure, and efficient progression are important. It is very useful for farming and maintaining pace in the main gameplay, making it one of the best Evomon for active and dynamic play.

However, it needs protection against Rock, Ice, and Electric matchups. Without proper support, these counterpicks can quickly nullify Volcrest's advantages.

Arcapex can be considered one of the best Electric-type Evomon, and the community highly values it for good reason. It handles Water and Flying enemies excellently and fits easily into various balanced team compositions.

The main issue with Arcapex is its weakness against Ground opponents. Additionally, it may seem less necessary if your team already has strong responses to Water threats.

Arcapex Evomon

A-tier Evomons:

Wisphex is a reliable Poison-type option for the late stages of the game, becoming more useful in prolonged battles. Its evolution line is also well-suited for gradual progress: Wispuff can be used early on, eventually evolving into a strong endgame finisher.

The main danger for Wisphex is Ground and Psychic-type opponents. Additionally, Poison damage is not always the best option when you need to quickly progress through content or farm efficiently.

Frostseer provides very useful Ice coverage for the team, especially against Flying, Ground, and Dragon enemies. It's an excellent choice when you need a specific answer to certain types rather than a universal carry.

Due to its weaknesses, Frostseer is better perceived as a specialist. Fire, Rock, Steel, and Fighting matchups can severely punish it, so it works best in properly selected battles.

Chitaladin is one of the best investments among Bug-type Evomon, but most of its power is unlocked only after its final evolution. In its fully developed form, it becomes a strong tool against Grass and Psychic targets.

Until then, the line may not seem very impressive. Chitaladin also needs to be used cautiously against Fire, Flying, and Rock enemies, which limit its safe presence on the battlefield.

Datunymph is a practical Grass option for progressing through the game. It provides useful coverage and has enough utility to remain relevant even after completing the initial zones.

However, it's not the best recommendation among Grass Evomon. If you need a specialized Grass fighter for the long term, Terragon remains a stronger choice.

Datunymph Evomon

Pummash easily fits into various teams as a Fighting-type fighter. It puts good pressure on Normal, Rock, Ice, and Steel opponents, making it convenient to test in almost any composition.

Its position is not as stable as some representatives of higher tiers, and Flying and Psychic counterpicks can create unpleasant matchups. Therefore, Pummash is strong but not a completely safe choice.

Pummash Evomon

Empixy is a strong Fire-type Evomon, especially if you manage to get Sparkit early. It has enough damage and favorable matchups to comfortably progress through many mid-stage zones.

The only real problem is competition. If you're choosing where to invest resources between Empixy and Lavarock, Lavarock should usually be the priority Fire investment.

Viparch works well as a source of Poison damage and can confidently cover this role while Wisphex is not fully developed. It's a reliable backup option if the team needs Poison coverage as early as possible.

However, as your roster grows, Viparch becomes harder to justify. When Wisphex is ready, it usually has more reasons to occupy the Poison-type slot.

Viparch Evomon

Pebgolem is a very useful Rock-type Evomon for early and mid progression. Even before its final form, Pebble and Pebroll can absorb damage well and help stabilize difficult battles.

Among the downsides is the large number of weaknesses. Water, Grass, Ground, Steel, and Fighting enemies have enough ways to break its defense, so Pebgolem requires smart support.

Pebgolem Evomon
Pebgolem Evomon

Astraknight is a strong standalone Fighting-type fighter that can immediately bring value if it's already in your collection. It is especially valuable when the team needs a physical attacker with strong hits without waiting for an evolutionary line.

The main nuance is the dependency on talent quality. Without good talent, Astraknight might not provide enough value to justify serious investments.

Astraknight Evomon

Boltonia is an acceptable Electric-type choice with useful matchups against Water and Flying enemies. It can cover this role well, especially before Arcapex becomes available.

At the same time, Boltonia is not the strongest option in its category. Once better Electric picks become available, it's usually easier to replace.

Boltonia Evomon

Fluffastar performs better than it might initially seem and can stand alongside several stronger A-tier representatives. It provides another working Rock-type option if you want to try something different from standard choices. Pebgolem often appears as a more reliable investment in the Rock slot, and Fluffastar may struggle when matchups become more challenging.

B-tier Evomons:

Blazmane is a convenient Fire-type Evomon for beginners, performing well in the early stages of the game. Since it belongs to the starting Fire line, new players get a simple way to pressure Grass, Bug, Steel, and Ice opponents without complicated preparation.

Its usefulness starts to diminish as stronger Fire options become available. Blazmane can still perform its role, but as your collection grows, it usually becomes a less attractive choice.

Mudthorn is one of the best early Ground-type options, providing valuable coverage against Fire, Rock, Poison, Steel, and Electric enemies. It is especially useful for players who need a simple and straightforward Ground pick when forming their first stable team.

The downside is that it holds the most value at the start. As you progress further in the game, stronger and more specialized Evomon will often take its place.

Mudthorn Evomon

Spikumane provides another working Ground-type response, especially when Electric enemies are causing problems. It covers this role well and helps complement compositions that lack Ground pressure.

However, it is not the Ground Evomon usually recommended first. For general progression, Mudthorn often appears as a simpler and more reliable choice.

Spikumane Evomon
Spikumane Evomon

Sundercrene can work as a Bug-type Evomon when the team needs additional pressure against Grass or Psychic targets. It's a decent choice, especially if you don't have stronger Bug coverage yet.

At the same time, it doesn't seem as proven as better Evomon focused on damage. If Chitaladin is available, it will usually be a cleaner and more reliable investment in the Bug slot.

Sundercrene Evomon
Sundercrene Evomon

Starmuse is useful when the team needs Psychic coverage or a flexible utility slot. It can fit well into compositions where the main damage sources are already covered, and you need another useful attack direction.

By default, it shouldn't be considered a priority investment. If your team doesn't have a specific need for Psychic coverage, Starmuse is better left as a situational choice.

Starmuse Evomon
Starmuse Evomon

Gempress is a workable Bug Evomon to invest in if the team needs coverage and Chitaladin is not yet available. In the right composition, it brings enough value to be a justified choice.

However, it should be seen as a backup option rather than an outstanding combat unit. Gempress can help, but it is usually not the Evomon around which a team is built.

Gempress Evomon
Gempress Evomon

Mopillow is more useful than a regular slot filler. Its neutral damage and ease of use make it a comfortable option for the early game, especially when an Evomon capable of working without much support is needed.

Due to the small number of super-effective matchups, Mopillow becomes much easier to replace once stronger and more specialized options are added to your roster.

C-tier Evomons:

Glacitadel is a defensive Ice-type Evomon that can be useful when the team needs endurance rather than speed. It has its place in slower battles where Ice coverage is important, and survival is valued more than quick progression.

The problem lies in long-term value. If you plan to seriously invest in an Ice Evomon, Frostseer will usually be a stronger and more promising choice.

Glacitadel Evomon
Glacitadel Evomon

Frostelle is better seen as a niche choice rather than a standard recommendation. It can work if your team is already built to support it and you need another tool for specific matchups.

Outside of such situations, Frostelle shouldn't be a main priority. Stronger Ice and Grass options usually deserve resources earlier.

Frostelle Evomon
Frostelle Evomon

Twirlby is an accessible Bug-type Evomon that can help early teams get through the initial stages of progress. It can temporarily cover the Bug slot until stronger options become available.

When better options become available, Twirlby loses much of its appeal. Gempress and Chitaladin are usually stronger investments for the same role.

Twirlby Evomon

Silvanarch can serve as a working Grass response when the team needs additional coverage against Water, Ground, or Rock enemies. It is not useless, especially if your roster is still limited.

However, it's not the Evomon most players should focus resources on. Tarro and Datubud usually provide better value and are stronger options for development.

D-tier Evomons:

Mirefish can be useful when the team desperately needs a Water-type response, especially against Fire and Rock enemies. The evolution of Gulpfish at least gives this line a clearer role and makes it more justified as a temporary option.

The problem is that the base line starts with weak stats. Mirefish can fill a gap in the team for a while, but it's not the Evomon usually kept in the roster for the long term.

Mirefish Evomon
Mirefish Evomon

Bubblade is a simple starting Water-type Evomon that helps new players get through early sections with many Fire or Rock opponents. It is straightforward, easy to use, and can cover basic progression needs at the start.

Its value quickly drops once stronger carries join the team. After that, Bubblade usually becomes more of an interim step than a serious investment.

Bubblade Evomon
Bubblade Evomon

Clamspire provides another Water-type path for early progression. It can be useful if your roster is still weak and you haven't yet found a more reliable Evomon.

Despite this, it's hard to recommend it as a long-term team member. Most players will want to replace Clamspire as soon as a stronger option becomes available.

Clamspire Evomon
Clamspire Evomon

Tinkore has some practical utility due to its Steel type. Defensively, it can be useful in certain situations and can help against Rock and Ice matchups when needed.

Its problem is simple: there are better choices. Tinkore can perform its role, but it rarely seems the best use of a team slot compared to stronger alternatives.

Tinkore Evomon
Tinkore Evomon

Leafblade is an accessible starting Grass-type line for players who began with Leafbun. It provides early coverage against Water, Ground, and Rock enemies, which can be useful while the team is still developing.

In the long term, Leafblade falls short compared to other Grass options. Terragon, Datunymph, and even Silvanarch usually provide more value if you plan to seriously invest in a Grass-type Evomon.

Leafblade Evomon
Leafblade Evomon

Chirphantom can provide Flying-type coverage for new accounts with few options. It can temporarily cover this role while you're just forming your roster.

The main downside is competition. Volcrest is significantly stronger in the same category, so Chirphantom is hard to justify once better Flying options become available.
