It’s officially summer season in Grow A Garden! The popular Roblox hit game launched a massive event - the Summer Update - on Saturday, June 21, introducing a host of new additions, including brand-new seeds, eggs, pets, mutations, and more. The Summer Event has also broken an unprecedented record as the game reportedly accumulated over 20 million concurrent players during the launch of this update!
Summer Update Summary
New Seeds and Plants
The Seed Shop has been refurbished, with some old seeds removed (perhaps to return in future events or updates) and new ones added. The shop no longer sells the Beanstalk, Cacao, Mango, Pepper, Ember Lily, and other normal seeds. Only the Carrot, Strawberry, Blueberry, Tomato, and Watermelon - extremely common seeds - plus the new Sugar Apple, remain from the previous lineup.

A new Summer Pack Seed is also available, though it can only be obtained by playing the Summer Event. The seeds in the new pack are: Wild Carrot, Pear, Cantaloupe, Parasol Flower, Rosy Delight, and Elephant Ears.
New Eggs and Pets
Grow A Garden’s Summer Update also introduced 3 new Summer-themed eggs with a variety of new pets offered. Some of the new pets even apply unique mutations!
Paradise Egg (Mythical): Ostrich, Peacock, Capybara, Scarlet Macaw, and Mimic Octopus
Rare Summer Egg: Flamingo, Toucan, Sea Turtle, Orangutan, and Seal
Common Summer Egg: Starfish, Seagull, and Crab
New Weather and Mutations
A bunch of new weather has also been added to Grow A Garden - and that means a whole lot of new, valuable mutations.
- Heat Wave - Sundried mutation (x85 price multiplier)
- Gale or Windy - Windstruck mutation (x2 price multiplier)
- Tornado - Twisted mutation (x5 multiplier)
- Alien Invasion (admin-triggered event) - Alienlike mutation (x100 price multiplier)
- Space Travel (admin-triggered event) - Galactic mutation (est. x4 multiplier)
- Verdant mutation (x4 multiplier) - Applied by the Scarlet Macaw pet
New Gears and Cosmetics
Other shops also received a bunch of new materials to customize a gardener’s farming experience further. Some of the new items can be purchased, while some are craftable. The Lightning Rod is switched from a purchasable item to now being a craftable tool.
- Tanning Mirror - Can be used to re-direct the sun beam during the Heat Wave weather
- Reclaimer - Destroy plants to gain back the seed
- Over 20 Summer-themed cosmetics including the Beach Crate and Cabana.
New Event - Summer Harvest
A new event takes center stage in Grow A Garden to celebrate the summer season. Instead of the Queen Bee, a massive harvest basket stands in the middle of the map, accompanied by NPC Georgia. There, you can submit Summer-themed plants to collect points. The more points, the better the rewards, which include a Choc Sprinkler, Moon Cat, and the new Summer-themed Seed Pack.
Cooked Owl Gift
Those who participated in the event also received x2 Cooked Owl Pet, a Mythical pet that can give your crops the Burnt mutation. Unfortunately, if you missed it you can no longer obtain it. But with x2 pets each, you may be able to ask or trade with a friend or the generous Grow A Garden community.
