Depth Incremental Rebirth Guide: Requirements, Rewards and When to Rebirth

Rebirth is a key part of progression in Depth Incremental, a Roblox game where you earn Cash, buy steps, and dig deeper underground. Resetting your progress might sound like a bad deal, but Rebirth gives you permanent multipliers and access to new areas.

Before you hit that Rebirth button, though, it's worth knowing exactly what resets, what stays with you, and whether you should grind for better Titles first.

How to Rebirth in Depth Incremental

Here's how to rebirth in Depth Incremental once you've completed the necessary preparations:

  1. Finish your Dirt Layer run. Complete the boss fight and collect the key that unlocks the Rebirth option.
  2. Check your Titles. Consider rolling for a better Title if your current Cash and Worm bonuses are weak.
  3. Open the Rebirth 1 panel. You'll find it at the end of the Dirt Layer after the boss encounter.
  4. Activate Rebirth. Click the green "REBIRTH - 3.90B Cash" button to complete the reset.
  5. Start your next run. Return to the beginning of the Dirt Layer and use your permanent multipliers to buy steps and progress faster.
  6. Advance toward the Stone Layer. Clear the Dirt Layer again, defeat the Worm Queen, and continue into the newly unlocked area.

After Rebirth, focus on boosting your Cash generation so you can buy steps and upgrades faster. Your permanent multipliers and saved Titles should make the second run much smoother.

And that's pretty much it! Once you've got a decent Title and unlocked your first Rebirth, there's no point delaying it for minor upgrades. The permanent bonuses will help you get past the Dirt Layer faster and push deeper into Depth Incremental.

Depth Incremental Rebirth Requirements

To unlock your first Rebirth, you need to reach the end of the Dirt Layer, defeat the Worm Queen, collect her key, and save up 3.90B Cash.

The Worm Queen is the Dirt Layer's final boss. You'll need to attack her with your sword while dodging attacks marked by red areas on the ground. If you're struggling, upgrading your Walk Speed can make the fight easier. You can also retry the boss if you lose.

After defeating the Worm Queen, grab the key to unlock the Rebirth option. Once you have enough Cash, you can activate your first reset through the Rebirth panel.

Later Rebirths have their own requirements, so check the Rebirth menu before planning your next reset.

What Happens When You Rebirth in Depth Incremental?

Rebirth resets your current Layer progression in exchange for permanent bonuses, making it easier to earn Cash, collect Worms, and reach deeper Layers.

Your first Rebirth gives you three rewards:

  • 10x Cash multiplier: Earn Cash ten times faster.
  • 3x Worm multiplier: Triple your Worm collection rate.
  • Stone Layer unlock: Gain access to the next Layer after completing the required progression.

These boosts make your next run much quicker. You'll earn enough Cash for expensive steps and upgrades sooner, while the extra Worms help you rebuild your progress.

Just keep in mind that unlocking the Stone Layer doesn't let you skip straight to it. You'll still need to clear the Dirt Layer again.

What Does Depth Incremental Rebirth Reset?

Your first Rebirth resets your Dirt Layer progression, but it doesn't erase all your permanent bonuses. Your descent starts over, meaning you'll need to buy steps again, work your way through the Dirt Layer, and reach the Worm Queen before continuing toward the Stone Layer.

The most important exception is your Titles, which remain unlocked after Rebirth. Their Cash and Worm bonuses continue helping you throughout your next run.

You also keep your permanent Rebirth rewards, including the 10x Cash and 3x Worm multipliers. These bonuses make rebuilding your Layer progression significantly faster than during your first attempt.

The Rebirth menu specifically confirms that Dirt Layer progress resets except Titles. However, it doesn't provide a complete breakdown of how individual upgrades, Fossils, Worms, and other resources are affected. Don't assume every resource or temporary purchase will carry over without checking its specific rules.

Best Time to Rebirth in Depth Incremental

The best time to Rebirth is once you've unlocked the reset and secured a decent Title.

You can reset as soon as you qualify, but rolling for better Titles beforehand can give you a nice head start. Rarer Titles generally offer stronger Cash and Worm bonuses, and since you keep them after Rebirth, they're a solid long-term investment.

That said, there's no need to spend hours chasing the rarest Title. If you're burning through Cash for tiny improvements, you're probably better off taking the guaranteed Rebirth multipliers.

There's also little reason to keep grinding temporary Dirt Layer progression once you're ready to reset. Your permanent bonuses will help you regain your lost depth much faster, making Rebirth more valuable than delaying your next run for minor improvements.
