Delta Force Cyclone Guide

The “Cyclone” map is one of the biggest and most active maps in Delta Force: Hawk Ops. It was incorporated into Season 5 and became an immediate favorite because of its unique geography, vast open spaces, sea vehicle availability, as well as its varying weather. This map can support 32 vs. 32 players and is perfect for teamplay as well as colossal attacks.

General Information About the Map

“Cyclone” is a tropical island featuring jungles, beaches, steep cliffs, and a large missile base in the center. Players can fight on land, water, and even underwater using tunnel systems. One of the key features of the map is dynamic weather — a tropical storm begins midway through the match, significantly affecting visibility, sound, and combat tactics.

Key Areas on the Map

  • Missile Base – The central objective of the map, constantly contested. Controlling it provides a strategic advantage.
  • Cliffs – Ideal sniper positions, allowing fire support over the beaches and approaches to the base.
  • Beaches – Open zones frequently used for landings via boats and jet skis.
  • Underwater Tunnels – Hidden routes for surprise flanking attacks.

Recommended Tactics for the “Cyclone” Map

Early in the game, boats and helicopters are extremely important to obtain as soon as you can. It makes your units get to strategic spots namely, the central missile base before enemy units, giving you a significant head start as well as an opportunity to get to a place that is defensible.

The missile base in the center of the map is at high elevation, which conveys a significant tactical advantage. Controlling it grants your team superior firepower, clear sight for vast portions of the map, and mobility to redeploy troops quickly to other areas.

Using a combination of amphibious landings, helicopter support, and ground pushes is highly effective. Attacking from multiple fronts makes it harder for the opposing team to organize a solid defense and respond in time.

When the tropical storm hits mid-match, visibility drops dramatically, and environmental noise covers your movements. This is an ideal moment to launch surprise attacks, especially by water or through the underwater tunnels, catching the enemy off guard.

Make use of alternative routes such as tunnels, side roads, and less obvious beaches. These flanking paths can help break through enemy lines, forcing them to divide their forces and leaving their central positions vulnerable.

Engineers play a crucial role on the “Cyclone” map. They can disable or destroy enemy vehicles, place mines near common landing zones, and repair allied helicopters and boats. Their support boosts your team’s long-term mobility, survivability, and control over key areas.

Most Effective Classes

  • Recon – Ideal for operating from the cliffs, spotting enemies, and supporting snipers.
  • Assault – A versatile fighter effective in jungles, at the base, or on the beaches.
  • Engineer – Essential for anti-vehicle tasks and holding strategic objectives.
  • Heavy Infantry – Strong in defending key zones, with high durability and powerful weapons.

The tropical storm that begins mid-match drastically reduces visibility and makes aiming more difficult. It’s the perfect time for stealthy attacks or repositioning. Water becomes dangerous for light boats, and aircraft are forced to fly lower to avoid disorientation.
