You'll encounter many different mechanics, items, and other content that may remain unclear even after several hours of gameplay.

Basics of Broken Blade

At the beginning of your adventure in Broken Blade, you'll have a basic one-star weapon called the Nameless Blade. This is your first sword, which will be your primary tool as you learn the game and gradually build your strength.

Weapons in Broken Blade have a rarity system based on stars: from one to four. Additionally, each weapon belongs to one of three types: Sword, Katana, or Buster.

The core gameplay of Broken Blade revolves around gathering resources and materials, as well as gradually improving your equipment. Materials have various rarity levels and are especially important for crafting and enhancing weapons. Most weapons you find are in a damaged or unusable state, so before equipping them for battle, they need to be repaired.

To repair weapons, you'll need gems, coins, and special crafting materials related to their type. By defeating enemies and gathering resources, you'll gradually unlock stronger weapons, repair better gear, and increase your overall combat power.

What to Do First

At the start of Broken Blade, it's best to develop at least a minimal progression path to ensure you don't miss anything important and collect everything that can help you in the early stages of the game. This will also allow you to use resources wisely, rather than spreading them across different types of equipment and wasting materials.

First, enter all available codes to receive additional resources and rewards in Broken Blade. After that, choose one weapon branch and stick with it from the beginning. If you invest in upgrades for multiple weapon types at once, you'll quickly run out of materials and significantly slow your progress.

Whenever possible, take your chosen weapon to the forge and continue upgrading it as you progress. Farming enemies is, of course, important, but don't ignore quests, as they provide more additional EXP than you get from kills.

Also, activate island altars as soon as they become available. Their damage bonuses may seem small, but they accumulate and help during repeat boss fights.

It's better to postpone race and element rerolls until level 500. Once you reach level 1000, start paying more attention to blessings and long-term enhancements.

Broken Blade features several islands that players can explore. Currently, there are about seven available. Some islands are directly tied to level progression and unlock as your character becomes stronger, while others are related to raids, time-limited events, or specific challenge modes.

All Races Broken Blade

Races play an important role in character development in Broken Blade, as each provides its own bonuses. Currently, there are nine races in the game, distributed across six rarity levels.

To obtain a race, you'll need a Race Reroll item. It can be purchased in the Reroll Shop on Helheim Island, obtained through exchange, or acquired while farming bosses.

This system unlocks after reaching level 499, and you can roll Elements after obtaining Element Rerolls. Currently, there are six elements in the game, each with its own rarity level:

What Are Blessings in Broken Blade

Blessings are another key system for enhancing your character in Broken Blade. Since the game is heavily inspired by Norse mythology, many blessings are associated with gods, mythical creatures, and legendary figures from this tradition.

Currently, there are 21 blessings available in the game.

To obtain a blessing, you need to use a Blessing Reroll, which becomes available after your character reaches level 1000. The first Blessing Reroll can be claimed for free in the Reroll Shop.

The Reroll Shop is located on Helheim Island, near the boss Moraro. The shop offers three items at a time, and its stock is regularly updated, so it's worth checking frequently.
