In Megabonk, everything comes down to weapons. The right combination of three tools determines how efficiently you progress through each run. Some setups can wipe out hundreds of enemies at once, while others can shred bosses in seconds. Below is a selection of the best builds tested by players.
Swarm-Clear — Mass Elimination
This combo is designed for situations where enemies are overwhelming in number. The Revolver provides steady mid-range fire, the Bow covers wide areas, and Aura or Flamewalker create a constant wave of damage around the player. This setup excels in levels packed with dense enemy waves. It works best with tomes that increase damage, projectile count, and area of effect.
Melee Crit — Maximum Close-Range Damage
For players who aren’t afraid to get up close. Dexecutioner combined with Katana and Bananarang delivers explosive power and frequent critical hits. The main idea is to maximize attack speed and critical multipliers. It’s a risky but incredibly powerful option for fighting bosses and elite enemies.

Projectile Ricochet — Ranged Control
If you prefer to keep your distance, the combination of Wireless Dagger, Revolver, and Lightning Staff is perfect. It focuses on projectiles that ricochet between enemies, creating absolute chaos. This playstyle lets you control the battlefield while hitting multiple targets simultaneously.
Tank Build — Endurance and Survivability
Sword, Aegis, and Chunkers form a build for those who like to take a hit and keep going. The Sword offers consistent melee damage, Aegis enhances defense, and Chunkers provide utility bonuses or healing. Combined with tomes for Lifesteal, HP, and Defense, this build makes you nearly invincible. It’s ideal for long runs and high-difficulty levels.
Poison + Lifesteal — Damage Over Time and Sustain
Poison Flask, Frostwalker, and Aura create a synergy centered around damage over time. Poison slowly wears down enemies, while Lifesteal restores your health. This is a great choice for cautious players who prefer to avoid direct confrontation. The build performs well against crowds and in prolonged encounters.

Speed / Kiting — Mobility and Control
If your strategy is to stay on the move and attack quickly, try combining Bone, Aura, and Revolver. This setup grants high mobility and lets you deal damage while keeping distance. Tomes that boost Agility and Attack Speed amplify this playstyle, making you hard to hit.
Boss-DPS — Maximum Damage vs Bosses
When it comes to boss fights, Dexecutioner, Space Noodle, or Demonic Blade paired with Revolver perform best. This combo focuses all damage on a single target for maximum efficiency. Tomes that increase Damage, Crit Chance, and Attack Speed are essential. While this build isn’t great against crowds, it dominates in boss battles.
Megabonk rewards strategic thinking. There’s no such thing as a perfect build, but the setups above are an excellent starting point. Find your balance between offense, defense, and speed — and your run will become not just successful, but legendary.
