In Dune: Awakening, the trainer system plays a key role in character development. Trainers grant access to class-specific abilities that shape gameplay style, combat effectiveness, and team support. They are divided into basic and advanced categories: basic trainers help players master class fundamentals, while advanced trainers unlock new skill branches and broaden a class’s potential. To access a trainer’s services, players must locate these NPCs across various regions of Arrakis and complete the required quests.

Basic Trainers

Trooper

The trainer named Gavourey can be found at Griffin’s Trading Outpost. To access him, players must complete the quest "Proving Grounds", which involves eliminating gang leaders at Kaleff’s Stand, Shamal Tunnel, and Edgeway Cavern.

Mentat

Sameen Morrow is located near the entrance of Riftwatch camp in the Hagga Rift region. To begin training, players must complete a quest involving the delivery of poison and iron for bandit suppression.

Swordmaster

Arno is located at Pinnacle Station, which later becomes known as Jabal Eifrit Al-Gharb. To unlock this class, players must complete the quest "Swordmaster Basics: Checking the Post", which includes exploring several map locations and returning to Arno.

Bene Gesserit

Sister Mesa waits at Helius Gate, on the southern edge of the Shield Wall region. Access is granted by completing the quest "The Missing Pieces", which is tied to exploring ruins.

Planetologist

Derek Chinara can be found near Imperial Testing Station No. 2, close to Griffin’s Trading Post. To begin training, the player must find the Minimic Film during the quest "Mimic Film Recovery".

Advanced Trainers

These trainers only become available after fully completing the basic class training. They are located in the main cities: Arrakeen or Harko Village, both of which can be reached via ornithopter from any trading outpost.

Advanced Trooper

Kara Valk is located on the second floor in Arrakeen. To start training, players must complete the quest "Seeking Control", which involves locating transmitters in a slaver camp.

Advanced Mentat

Zane de Witt can be found in a bar in Arrakeen. He offers a mission chain related to the elimination of high-priority targets.

Advanced Swordmaster

Seron Varlin waits near the entrance of Harko Village. To begin training, players must locate an ancient sword tied to the first quest in the chain.

Advanced Bene Gesserit

Jocasta Cleo is located near the weapon vendor in Harko Village. She opens a skill path through a quest focused on exploring ancient ruins.

Travel between hubs is done via ornithopter, with each flight costing around 2,500 Solari. It’s advised to prepare sufficient resources and equipment before setting out.
