In Blue Prince, secrets lurk behind every locked safe, and while some players enjoy piecing together the cryptic clues, others just want the rewards. Whether you’re a curious explorer or a completionist speedrunning to the 46th room, this guide lays out every safe code in the game, plus the logic behind each one for those who still want to understand the mystery.

Boudoir Safe

The safe in the Boudoir is unlocked using the date December 25, which is cleverly hinted at in a postcard left in the room. It’s Christmas Day - one of the more obvious clues once you find it. Code: 1225

Drafting Studio Safe

This one is a bit more obscure. There’s a calendar at the entrance to the Drafting Studio, and if you look closely, possibly using a magnifying glass, you’ll notice that the second marked day is November 8. That’s your code: 1108.

Drawing Room Safe

This safe hides behind some clever wordplay. The clue talks about small gates, but it’s actually a pun, what they really mean is “small gaits", as in walking strides. Look at the painting with the man and woman holding umbrellas. Count the number of paintings that feature short strides: 4 with the woman, and 15 with the man. That gives you 0415.

Office Safe 

You’ll need to do a little reading for this one. Inside the Office, you’ll find a drawer with a note, and nearby is a book titled March of the Counts. You also need to count the number of small busts in the room, but don’t include the large one above the safe. Combine the two clues: March (03) and 3 busts (03) and you’ve got 0303.

Study Safe 

This code comes from a chessboard puzzle. There’s a King piece placed on square D8. In chess notation, D8 refers to the 8th day, and the King symbolizes December. So, you get December 8 - code 0812.

Red Door Lock

This is one of the few non-numeric codes. It’s linked to the hidden manor puzzle and involves counting gates. You’ll notice eight gates in the area, and the three-letter month that fits is May. So the code is MAY8.

Every safe in Blue Prince resets each in-game day, which means you can return and open them again for more gems, blueprints, and lore items. Not all are necessary to complete the game, but they offer valuable insight into the mansion’s mysteries and plenty of rewards for those who take the time.
