Greasy Grove is one of the popular locations in Fortnite OG, remembered by many original Fortnite players due to the Durrr Burger restaurant located on the western side of the area. This location is notable for its excellent variety of loot, with 15 potential chest spawn points. Moreover, it's a great resource center, offering plenty of bricks and wood for building structures and preparing for early fights.

Located on the outskirts of the map, the activity here usually depends on the proximity to the bus route—if it's further from the start of the route, it's quite a quiet place, and busier if the bus flies over in the first seconds of the game. Such a location makes it an excellent option for a low-profile landing under favorable conditions. However, due to its distance from the center of the map, players may often find themselves in the storm when the first circle begins to close.

The Prison

The Prison is a hidden gem for Fortnite OG players, as this area is not marked on the map among the other 12 zones, making it an underrated but promising location. Situated on the outskirts of Moisty Mire, this area remains quite inconspicuous at first glance for newcomers but offers a solid set of loot.

This location can have up to eight chest spawn points, making it ideal for solo players or even squads looking to gather equipment without much competition. The area is predominantly made of bricks, providing a reliable source of materials for harvesting. Nearby is Moisty Mire and several trees, allowing for additional wood gathering for building and protection.

Pleasant Park 

Pleasant Park  is one of the most notable places on the current Fortnite OG map, offering over five houses for exploration. For squad players, this point of interest is perfect. Unlike smaller locations such as Wailing Woods, which do not have enough loot for a full team of four players, Pleasant Park—like alternatives such as Greasy Grove—provides access to a variety of intriguing weapons and gear.

This location also has plenty of natural cover, which is particularly useful in Zero-Build mode. Another reason for Pleasant Park's popularity is its constant presence in Fortnite's history, making its layout familiar to most players.

Retail Row

One of the best and favorite landing zones in Fortnite OG is Retail Row, which attracts players with generous resources. However, the popularity of this place often makes it one of the most competitive locations, attracting players who enjoy early skirmishes. 

The main advantage of Retail Row is the huge selection of loot, with 16 potential chest spawn points. This makes it an excellent place to get quality gear, including essential recovery items such as shield potions. 

The location also offers many buildings providing a height advantage, which is very useful, especially in Zero-Build mode. However, be careful in open areas on the east side, where players can be ambushed.

Tip: Where Should a Newbie Land in Fortnite OG

There isn't really a specific point best for beginners to land. However, you can land at the end of the route when most other players have already left the bus. This way, you'll have less competition for loot at the landing point.

Are Tilted Towers in Fortnite OG?

Tilted Towers, a beloved location from Fortnite Chapter 1, holds a special place among Fortnite fans. This point was a popular landing spot in the early seasons of the game. This iconic POI (point of interest) was filled with loot scattered among its high-rise buildings.

The streets of the town often witnessed fierce skirmishes for valuable items and consecutive victory in matches. Despite this, Tilted Towers did not make it to Fortnite OG. There is speculation that this area might return to Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 in the future.
