Next Map Rotation in Valorant Coming with Patch 10.0

The next map rotation in Valorant's ranked mode and professional scene will occur with the release of patch 10.0, as officially announced by the developers on social media.

The previous map rotation happened recently with the release of patch 9.08, during which Pearl and Split returned while Lotus and Icebox were removed. In the past, rotations were less frequent, but with the growing number of maps, the developers decided to rotate the active pool more often to diversify the game’s meta and increase player interest. Now, this will happen with every new act, approximately once every two months.

With the milestone patch 10.0, two maps will return to the game: Lotus, removed in the last rotation, and Fracture, which has been absent from ranked mode for over 400 days. Whether these maps will feature changes remains unknown. It’s likely that Lotus will return with minor updates, while Fracture could undergo significant changes due to its long absence, but this is just speculation as no official details have been provided.

Fracture’s return could impact agent meta, as this map is complex and demands specific characters like Killjoy or Breach, who provide comfort and an advantage over opponents. Consequently, these agents might see increased pick rates on other maps as players practice them more frequently.

The developers announced that the next map rotation will take place with the release of patch 10.0, scheduled for January 8. However, the date may be subject to change for various reasons. Stay tuned to our portal to stay updated on the latest Valorant news.
