Virtus.pro Withdraws from The International 2025 Eastern Europe Qualifiers [Updated]

Update as of 12:00 CEST: Virtus.pro has confirmed their Dota 2 roster's participation in the open qualifiers for The International 2025 in the Western Europe region. The team initially planned to compete in this region considering the bootcamp location and players' residences.

Georgiy "drAmer" Faleev, head of the Dota division at Virtus.pro, commented on the decision:

"We initially based our plans on MESWA being part of Western Europe, intended to play in this region, and scheduled our bootcamp accordingly. The distribution of invites only accelerated our announcement. Moreover, three of our five players reside in Western Europe, and we see no obstacles to following our planned path and competing in the WEU region, even from the open qualifiers."

Original News:
Virtus.pro will not participate in the closed qualifiers for The International 2025 in the Eastern Europe region. According to the tournament operator PGL, published on May 20 on social network X, the team declined the invite. The reason for this decision is currently unknown.

It is expected that Virtus.pro will compete in the open qualifiers for TI 2025 in Western Europe. This was suggested by the manager of NAVI. At the time of this publication, no official comments have been received from Virtus.pro.

Previously, NAVI Junior made a similar decision. The team also declined their slot in the Eastern Europe closed qualifiers and will play in the open qualifiers in Western Europe. More details can be found at this link.
