Valve released a new micro-patch for Dota 2

Valve has released the first micro-patch for Dota 2 following the 7.38 update, aimed at fixing critical bugs that could cause game crashes. Specifically, a bug with the Pyrrhic Cloak has been fixed, which could crash the server if both targets attacked each other.

Key Changes

The update addressed several important issues affecting gameplay:

  • Fixed a bug with Pyrrhic Cloak, where if both targets attacked each other applying debuffs, the game could crash.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed upgrading the innate ability "Blueheart Floe" in Winter Wyvern.
  • Fixed an issue where Terrorblade dealt additional damage to creeps.
  • Fixed a bug where Terrorblade's level 25 talent (right) did not deal additional damage to illusions.
  • Fixed several critical issues in Morphling: During transformation, the hero could cause the game to crash. After transforming into Puck, Morphling could use the ultimate.
  • Fixed a bug where Io did not heal an ally through Tether if the ally had full health.
  • Added visual effects for the "Hidden Reach" aspect.
  • Aligned the hero grid in character selection.
  • Improved the "Baby Roshan" courier.
  • Previously, effects were added for Pyrrhic Cloak.

The 7.38 update brought many changes to the game, but along with them, a large number of new bugs emerged. Some of these could affect the competitive scene—tournament organizers are forced to ban certain mechanics and items to avoid exploiting critical glitches.

However, Valve is not ignoring these problems—this micro-patch is another step towards stabilizing the game. Although some issues still require fixing, the developers are actively working on improving the player experience. We expect new updates soon!
