Seeding for Teams in Closed Qualifiers for The International 2025 Announced

Following the conclusion of the second stage of open qualifiers, the seeding for the closed qualifiers for The International 2025 has been established. Teams with direct invitations are joined by the strongest representatives from the open stages. In four regions—South America, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and Western Europe—the pairs for the opening round have already been determined. Some participants, including the winners of the qualifiers, will start their journey from the quarterfinals due to higher seeding.

South America

The region is represented by ten teams. In the opening matches, Infamous will face Sustancia X, and TeamDk will play against AllStars. The winners of these matches will advance to play against Heroic and Edge, respectively. OG.LATAM, Veritas Brotherhood, Team Den, and Team Sin Compromiso will begin their performance from the quarterfinal stage.

Eastern Europe

In the first round, Quantum will meet Cyber Goose, and eSpoiled will face Runa Team. The winners of these matches will play against Aurora Gaming and Natus Vincere. The other quarterfinal pairs have already been determined: One Move vs Nemiga Gaming, L1ga Team vs Kalmychata.

Western Europe

In the first round, NAVI Junior will play against Yellow Submarine, and Virtus.pro will face 4Pirates. The winners of these matches will meet Nigma Galaxy and AVULUS. Additionally, OG will play against Team Secret, and MOUZ will play against 1WIN. The seeding was formed based on the results of the open qualifiers and the current team rankings.

The closed qualifiers for The International 2025 take place in June across all six regions and will be the final stage of qualification for the year's main tournament. Each region features invited teams and those that have advanced through the open stages. The qualifiers will allocate eight slots: two for Western Europe and Southeast Asia, and one each for Eastern Europe, China, North America, and South America.
