Another day, another Dota 2 bug. There has been many instances of notorious bugs that can heavily affect a game's outcome. But this particular one is game-breaking and is mostly used in losing scenarios. It involves the hero Mirana and a couple of item interactions.
This Mirana bug is not only a nuisance among average players but has also affected professional players in the high-ranked pubs. So what is this Mirana bug?
What is the Mirana Bug?
The Mirana bug happens when you as a Mirana uses the item Eul Scepter of Divinity on a neutral creep and send your Sacred Arrow to the same creep around the same time. This will cause the game server to crash and the ongoing game will not score.
Step-by-step to activate the Mirana bug:
- Pick Mirana in a Dota 2 game.
- Purchase Eul Scepter of Divinity.
- Go to any neutral creep camp or creep wave.
- Eul a creep and send your Sacred Arrow to the same creep simultaneously.
- The server will crash and the game will not score.
Some users on Reddit mentioned that the Mirana bug requires an Aghanim's Scepter in your inventory. However, other users have shown that an Aghanim is not required.
Many players are using this bug to avoid losing games and getting their MMRs deducted. If the player is in a losing game, they would activate the bug and crash the game. The game will not be scored and players would not even get to review replays, submit reports, and more.
A Bug Affecting Even the High-Ranked Pubs
This game-breaking bug has affected many players including the high-ranked bracket. Dota 2's Reddit is flooded with mentions of the Mirana bug. A post even showcased how a Mirana player attempted to use the bug before losing a game, but didn't know the steps and failed to do so.
Valve would usually patch out game-breaking bugs, but at the time of writing, it seems like the problem is unsolved. Keep an eye out for updates to know if it's now safe to explore pubs.
