On June 26, all quarterfinal matches of the upper bracket playoffs of PGL Wallachia Season 5 took place. In a tense battle, four teams emerged that will continue their quest for the championship in the next round.

Gaimin Gladiators secured a victory over Tundra Esports with a score of 2:1. Tundra players initially took the lead by winning the first map. However, Gaimin rallied and claimed the next two, securing their spot in the upper bracket semifinals. The MVP of the match was Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, who dealt 23.2k damage and had the best GPM at 705.

Xtreme Gaming also defeated Natus Vincere with a score of 2:1. NAVI started the series confidently, taking the first map, but the Chinese team found their answer and dominated the second and third, snatching the victory and a ticket to the next stage. The standout player was Huncheng “Xm” Gong, who dealt 36.3k damage and made 13.2 assists.

Team Liquid overcame Aurora Gaming — 2:1. Aurora managed to put up a fight, securing a win on the first map, but Liquid responded with a series of two victories, thus continuing their performance in the upper bracket. The MVP of the match was Michael “miCKe” Vu, who dealt nearly 30k damage and ensured a 738 GPM.

BetBoom Team confidently defeated Team Spirit with a score of 2:0. The confrontation ended without surprises: BB Team dominated throughout the series and sent Spirit to the lower bracket of the playoffs. The best player was Danil “gpk” Skutin, finishing the match without deaths and with 25.1k damage.

Matches for the Next Day

Tomorrow at PGL Wallachia Season 5, two key upper bracket matches will take place: Gaimin vs. Xtreme and Liquid vs. BetBoom — the winners will advance to the winners' final. In the lower bracket, Tundra and Spirit will battle for survival.
