Grow A Garden kicked off the summer season with a record-breaking launch of the Summer Harvest Event - with over 21 million viewers tuning in to watch it go live.
The summer update brings a huge variety of new content to the game, including seeds, gear, cosmetics, and pets (if you missed the launch, go here to find out everything new added in the update). But the true highlight is the Summer Harvest Event, a brand new event that offers valuable rewards!
If you're wondering how the Summer Harvest Event works in Grow A Garden and want some quick tips to boost your harvest points, read on for an efficient breakdown!
The Summer Harvest Event invites players to collectively submit Summer-themed fruits to gain random rewards, including many returning old favorites. At the center of the map is a massive fruit basket, tended by the NPC Georgia. Every hour (check the in-game cooldown timer), the basket opens for fruit submissions, but only summer-themed fruits are accepted.
You will have only 10 minutes to submit fruits. Once the timer runs out, all participants will receive rewards based on the total number of points they earned from their Summer Fruit contributions.
All fruits from the current Seed Shop and the Summer Seed Pack are considered Summer-themed fruits! Fruits not related to the event - such as Moon Mango, Ember Lily, and Cocoa - and those currently not in the Seed Shop, are not classified as Summer fruits and cannot be submitted during the event.
Here’s a complete list of all Summer fruits in Grow A Garden:
To submit a fruit, simply hold a Summer fruit and interact with the fruit basket to submit it one at a time. For faster submissions, talk to Georgia, the NPC standing next to the basket, and select the option: “Take all my summer fruits.”
A wooden board to the right of the basket will show how many points you’ve accumulated and which reward tier you’ve unlocked. You’ll need at least 10 points to start unlocking Common Rewards, and the maximum number of points that will grant rewards is 14,000 points.
Fruits are scored differently based on their rarity. Natural mutations also affect point value - the Gold mutation adds +2 points, and the Rainbow mutation adds +3 points. Other mutation types do not increase the point value for fruits.

The Grow A Garden: Summer Harvest Event features a wide variety of new rewards, including the return of fan-favorite items from past events like Blood Moon and Lunar Glow! If you’re aiming for a specific reward, it’s important to know exactly how many points you’ll need to reach it.
Here are all the Summer Harvest rewards and the points required to earn them:
If you've already participated in the Summer Harvest Event, you may have noticed it’s not easy to rack up thousands of points within the 10-minute window. But don’t worry, your struggle may be due to planting the wrong seeds or lacking an optimized strategy!
Here are the best plants to grow and harvest to maximize your Summer Harvest points:
Strategy is just as important as seed selection. The best way to maximize points during the 10-minute submission window is to pre-harvest and stock up on Summer Fruits before the event begins.
We recommend reserving your backpack for Summer Fruits only! Avoid harvesting unrelated fruits that will take up valuable inventory slots. If you need more space, consider crafting the Pack Bee at the Cosmetics/Crafting Station. This helpful pet adds 25 extra slots to your backpack!
And don’t forget, using Sprinklers can increase your chances of getting Gold or Rainbow mutations, which add valuable bonus points to every fruit.
That wraps up our Grow A Garden: Summer Harvest Event guide! We’ll be covering more of the hit garden game news and updates, so stick around.
