WoW SoD Phase 3 All Warlock Runes and Locations Guide

WoW SoD Phase 3 All Warlock Runes and Locations Guide

Not so long ago, World of Warcraft Classic launched a new, third phase of the Season of Discovery, which means that players have a bunch of fresh content to explore. Among other things, some classes, including warlocks, have new runes. If you play them, you'll need help figuring out how and where to get these runes. The sooner you do so, the sooner you can upgrade your hero to make him stronger. In this guide, we'll show you how to find warlock runes SoD phase 3.

What are runes?

Runes are upgrade items that can be attached to certain items of your equipment, such as chests, shoes, and gauntlets. They can enhance your skills, and stats, or grant you new abilities, regardless of your core and talents.

Searching for runes is a real adventure for World of Warcraft players, as no one in the game will tell you what they are, where to find them, and so on. Therefore, with the release of a new phase in WoW, players have to comb the entire Azeroth in search of these runes to improve their class hero and make him stronger.

Runes can be found anywhere: by completing quests, going through dungeons, finding them in chests, or from some mobs. Each rune and its combinations can completely change your style and approach to the game.

  • Backdraft is a rune that improves the Conflagrate ability of the Warlock, allowing him to cast spells 30% faster for 10 seconds under the influence of this effect. This rune is placed in the headgear cell of your equipment.

To obtain this rune, you must collect four Ley Crystals that can be found throughout Azeroth. You will need one material to activate each of the four crystals. You can also use Worldcore Fragments, which your imp can find. In case of absence, enlist the support of a mage in your group who can use the Scroll of Geomancy.

You can find all four crystals at the following coordinates:

Hinterlands: North of the Altar of Zul — /way 48 59;

Feralas: The High Wilderness — /way 57 60;

Azshara: Southwestern mountains, near The Forlorn Ridge - /way 22 79;

Searing Gorge — /way 55 65.

Closing each of these portals summons an arcane elemental of the 47th level — Enraged Leywalker. Even at the maximum level of the hero, these mobs are quite strong, so the search for this Warlock rune is not an easy task, and you cannot do it alone. Enlist the support of a guild or group of friends to make the process easier and faster.

After defeating all the elementals, you will receive 4 crystals: Hinterlands Leycryst, Feralas Leycryst, Azshara Leycryst, and Blackrock Leycryst. Combine them to get the coveted Backdraft rune.

  • Pandemic is a very powerful rune for the blackguard in WoW Classic SoD. Thanks to it, the periodic damage from a number of your spells can now deal critical damage at a rate of 101%.

This rune is a bit easier to obtain than the previous one. To do this, you will need to find the bodies of two dead mobs in the Feralas location. The first mob, the Diseased Grimtotem Shaman, is located near a tree at /way 69.6 43.3. There will be a chest next to it, which you should search for. It will contain the first item you need — the Grimtotem Necklace.

The body of the next NPC, Diseased Woodpaw Mystic, can be found at /way 63.3 50.1. On the way, you will pass by the Woodpaw Den cave, but you do not need to enter it. Follow the edge of the camp to the east and then north to coordinates 66.4 50.8. Next to the NPC's corpse will be his sack, which contains the required item — Broken Woodpaw Staff.

Combine the two items to get the Diseased Nature Staff. It should be used on the Diseased Forest Walker to wake it up. This NPC can be found in the Feralas location in one of the camps at /way 72.6 50.8. Since this is not an elite mob of level 43-44, defeating it will not be a problem. After that, engage his corpse and take another rune.

  • Vengeance is another Warlock rune in the third phase of SoD. It grants you a new ability, Vengeance, which increases your maximum health for 20 seconds when activated, after which the effect dissipates. In addition to this, in the Metamorphosis state, this ability grants you wings that slow you down when you fall.

The process of obtaining this rune is quite long. First, you need to take the quest The Wild Gods from Shadowtooth Emissary, which is located in the Emerald Sanctuary in Felwood (/way 51.5, 82). Each group member who wants to get this rune must also take this quest. Go to Jinth'Alor, and kill the elite trolls to get the Wildwhisper Draught potion.

Next, you should go to Razorfen Downs, clear the area around Amnennar the Coldbringer, and drink the previously found potion to summon the spirit. Talk to him and get the next quest, Agamaggan's Roar. If you are playing in a group, it is enough for only one of you to drink the tincture.

Then you must complete all three dungeons: Zul'Farrak, Maraudon, and Blackrock Depths. At the end of each of them, you have to defeat the boss, after which the Delirious Ancient will appear, which you will also have to defeat using the Agamaggan's Roar item. After collecting all three pieces of Wild Offerings, return to the Shadowtooth Emissary to collect the rune.

Tips for getting this rune:

You don't have to complete all three dungeons to get Wild Offerings faster. You can stay in a circle to kill the same boss. It will be faster than running between dungeons.

Other classes will receive their runes for completing this quest, for example, Shaman - Riptide, Mage - Advance Warding, Warrior - Sword and Board.

If you return to Shadowtooth Emissary with more Wild Offerings after completing the mission, she will offer various equipment items in exchange for these items.

  • Immolation Aura is a warlock rune that gives an effect that sets nearby enemies on fire every two seconds, dealing 32 points of damage, and also reduces incoming damage by 10%.

This is one of the easiest runes for Warlock in the third phase of SoD. You need to collect three items from different demons in Ashenwale. They are located near the Emerald Portal, where the World Dragon used to live. It's not hard to find them, many of them are located at the coordinates nearby /way 94.0 38.4.

You need the following mobs: Dreampyre Imp, which drops Dreampyre Fire; Emberspark Dreamsworn - Dreamsworn Horn; Dreamhunter Hound - Dreamhunter Fang. Combine all three elements to get the rune.

  • Summon Felguard — summons a subordinate servant of the warlock — Felguard, who receives all the same improvements and buffs from talents and abilities as other creatures summoned by your hero.

Find one of the Fel Portals in the vastness of Azeroth and send your Explorer Imp into it. Wait near the portal until the Imp returns with the Otherworldly Treasure, which will contain the rune you need.

  • Unstable Affliction — gives you an ability that deals damage to the victim for 15 seconds. In addition, the player who dispelled this spell will receive additional damage, as well as the inability to cast spells for 5 seconds.

To get this rune, you need to have a friendly reputation in Emerald Wardens. After that, you can buy this rune for 1 gold and 60 silver pieces from one of the wardens.

Conclusion

Unlocking warlock runes in sod phase 3 is not a difficult task, as most of them can be obtained quite easily, despite some nuances. But they will make you stronger and allow you to try new and interesting builds.
