Deadlock is the 22nd agent and 5th Sentinel role added to Valorant. However, since her appearance in the game on June 23, 2023, in patch 7.0, the character has not gained popularity. On the professional scene, the agent is not selected for major international tournaments, and in regular ranked matches, her pick rate is one of the lowest, at only 1.9%. That is why today we have prepared an article in which we speculate on what Valorant Deadlock buff 2025 are needed to make the agent more popular.
Our assumptions
Below, we will briefly describe which of the agent's skills we think need to be strengthened and how best to do so.
Barrier Mesh – Installation Indicator
The first Deadlock skill that can be improved is Barrier Mesh. Although the skill itself is quite powerful, it covers a large area, and to destroy the wall completely, you need to deal 1,200 damage. But it can be improved by adding an installation indicator. The thing is, when you use Barrier Mesh, you can't see where the wall will end up, so you can often place it crookedly or block your allies. The indicator will help you avoid this and will be one of the Deadlock changes Valorant that will strengthen the agent.

Sonic Sensor – Reusable in the next round
The next Deadlock skill that can be improved is Sonic Sensor. The thing is, if you place a sensor and then pick it up, you can reuse the trap, but only in the same round; at the beginning of the next round, you will need to buy it again. In our opinion, the improvement lies in allowing sensors to be used in the next round without purchase if they did not work in the previous one. This saves players 400 credits and strengthens the agent in a certain way.

Community opinions
In addition to our options, the Valorant community also offers solutions on how to strengthen Deadlock. After the latest patch, in which the agent was changed, players on Reddit wondered did Deadlock get buffed, because in their opinion the buffs were insignificant and did not affect the character's strength in any way. Players began to offer their own options, including a complete overhaul of the Gravnet ability.
Currently, the grenade is completely useless. Enemies who are hit by it have full visibility, and the binding actually works to their advantage because they crouch to remove it and have better shooting accuracy.
I suggest that Gravnet also apply a stun effect, like Sonic Sensor, or a slowdown effect, because otherwise it does nothing.
Among the less drastic solutions, players also suggest not completely reworking Gravnet, but only making it so that it does not affect allies, which in their opinion will also partially strengthen the agent.
My option is much simpler: make it so that Deadlock cannot bind allies. Every time I play with this agent on my team, she consistently ruins my round because she throws grenades near allies.
Finally, we would like to note that all of the above is just our assumptions and community suggestions on how to strengthen the agent. If you are interested in the question, will Deadlock get a buff in Valorant? The answer is yes. The developers regularly monitor player feedback and promise to strengthen weak agents such as Deadlock and Harbor.
