How to enable cheats in The Sims 4

Before using any cheats in The Sims 4, you need to enable the cheat console:

PC/Mac:

Press Ctrl + Shift + C (or Command + Shift + C on Mac) to open the cheat console.
Type testingcheats true and press Enter.

Console (PS4/Xbox):

Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 (PS4) or LB + LT + RB + RT (Xbox) to open the cheat console.
Use the on-screen keyboard to enter testingcheats true.

If everything is entered correctly, you will see a confirmation message indicating that cheats are enabled.

How to use skill cheats

Skill cheats in Sims 4 are divided into several categories: Major, Minor, Child, and Toddler. Each one belongs to a certain type of character, depending on their age, and also has a specific limit on the maximum number of skill points: Major and Child — 10 levels, Minor and Toddler — 5 levels.

The structure of a skill cheat in Sims 4 is the same, except for some variables:

stats.set_skill_level (type of skill)_(name of skill) X, where X is the desired skill level.
