The IEM Chengdu 2025 tournament has ended, and it ended with another incredible story for FURIA. The Brazilian team destroyed everyone on their way to the title and won the grand final 3-0 against Vitality.
This victory marks FURIA’s third trophy of the season, proving once again that they are one of the most dangerous and consistent teams in the world right now. They earned $285,000 for first place, while Vitality finished second and took home $150,000.
The next stop for the team will be BLAST Rivals Fall 2025, which starts on November 12 and has a $350,000 prize pool. But for now, it’s all about celebrating this amazing win – and the incredible performance of Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, who was named the MVP of IEM Chengdu 2025.

molodoy – The Star of the Tournament
If anyone still doubted that molodoy belongs in Tier-1 Counter-Strike, this tournament gave them the answer. He was unstoppable.
Across the event, molodoy averaged:
- 0.85 kills per round
- 79.5 average damage per round (ADR)
- 7.0 overall rating
These are elite numbers – and what’s even more impressive is his consistency. Out of all the maps he played, only two were below his usual level. Every other match was pure domination.
Opponent | Rating |
Lynn Vision | 9.5 |
G2 | 7.1 |
MOUZ | 6.2 |
The MongolZ (Quarterfinal) | 8.6 |
Falcons (Semifinal) | 5.8 |
Vitality (Final) | 6.6 |
That 9.5 rating against Lynn Vision was one of his highest single-series performances of the year. And even when he wasn’t exploding on the scoreboard, he stayed calm, played smart, and supported his team in the right moments.
This MVP is molodoy’s second award of the season, and it looks like he’s getting better with every event. His aim, his positioning, and his confidence – everything is top level. It’s no surprise that fans and analysts are calling him the next big star of Counter-Strike 2.

EVPs of IEM Chengdu 2025
While molodoy was the main star, several players also performed incredibly well during the tournament. These are the EVPs (Exceptionally Valuable Players) who were close to winning MVP:

m0NESY – rating 7.3
The highest-rated player of the whole event. Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov’s aim was incredible and his confidence unmatched. However, his performance in the third-place decider versus MOUZ fell short – especially on Inferno, where he had 0 ADR for 12 T-side rounds. Still, an amazing tournament for the young star.

ZywOo – rating 7.1
Even though Vitality struggled, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut proved he’s still one of the best players in the world. He looked sharper than in previous months. This wasn’t his absolute peak, but it’s clear he’s getting ready for the Major.

KSCERATO – rating 6.8
One of the most consistent riflers of the season and another MVP contender. Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato had a rough final (5.4 rating), but his earlier games were amazing. His teamwork with molodoy made FURIA’s attack nearly unstoppable.

flameZ – rating 6.6
A big improvement for the Israeli entry fragger. Shahar “flameZ” Shushan was strong throughout the playoffs and kept Vitality alive in many rounds. His aggression and opening kills were key, and he looks more confident than ever.

FURIA’s Bright Future
With three trophies already in 2025, FURIA are entering a new golden era. They’re no longer the underdogs – they’re a real title contender. Their next stop, BLAST Rivals Fall 2025, will be another big test. After that, all eyes will move to the Major, where FURIA will aim to finally break into the grand final. If they keep playing like this, and if molodoy stays in this incredible shape, it’s not impossible to imagine FURIA lifting the Major trophy later this year.

IEM Chengdu 2025 will be remembered as the event where molodoy truly arrived on the big stage. He’s no longer just a promising young talent – he’s a world-class player and a key reason why FURIA are dominating 2025. With FalleN’s leadership, KSCERATO’s reliability, and molodoy’s firepower, FURIA are one of the most balanced and dangerous teams in CS2.
