Farming Simulator 25: How to Grow and Sell Grapes

Grapes in Farming Simulator 25 are a highly profitable but expensive crop to grow. They require a significant upfront investment in equipment and setup, but the payoff is worth it for long-term farming success.

Grapevines keep growing without the need for replanting, making them an excellent choice for players looking for a steady, sustainable income. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to grow, harvest, and sell grapes in Farming Simulator 25.

When is Grape Season?

In Farming Simulator 25, all crops including grapes have a specific growing season. You can plant grapes between March and May, and they are ready to harvest from September to October.

If you want to bypass these seasonal restrictions, you can disable Seasonal Growth in the game settings, allowing you to grow and harvest whenever you prefer!

How to Grow Grapes in Farming Simulator 25

Growing grapes in Farming Simulator 25 is a process that requires both financial investment and consistent management. Follow these steps to successfully grow grapes!

1. Find a Suitable Space for Your Vineyard

Unlike most crops, grapevines don’t require a traditional field to be planted. However, it’s recommended to use a pre-existing field for better efficiency. Look for a flat area with enough space to accommodate multiple columns of grapevines.

2. Choose the Right Equipment for Your Vineyard

Grapevines require specialized equipment due to their narrow spacing. You’ll need a unique, narrow tractor to fit between the vines. Some suitable tractors for working with grapevines include:

  • Rex 4 GT
  • 200 V Vario
  • Tony 10900 TTR

These tractors are designed to maneuver easily between the cramped grapevine rows without damaging the plants.

3. Plant the Grape Vines

Once you've selected the location, head to the Cultivation section of the store to purchase grapevines. Plant them in straight rows to ensure uniform growth and efficient cultivation. The cost for each column of grapevines is around 12,000 Euros, so plan accordingly based on your budget. You can plant as many rows as you can afford, but remember that grape farming is a long-term investment.

4. Mulch and Fertilize Your Vineyard

To ensure healthy growth, you’ll need to care for your grapevines throughout the season. If the grasses between your rows start to grow longer, use a mulching machine, such as the FENDT 200 V Vario, to mulch the soil. This will increase land fertility and prevent weeds from overtaking the vines.

Before the harvest season, make sure to check the soil’s nutrient levels. If your grapevines haven’t been fertilized, apply Liquid Fertilizer using a Mercury 4000L or similar machine. These machines have wide coverage, allowing you to fertilize multiple columns at once, saving you time and effort.

5. Cultivate the Soil

To maximize your grape yield, you should cultivate the land after planting. Use dedicated tractors like the Disc-O-Vigne-V to carefully move between the columns without hitting the grape fences. Be mindful of collisions, as they can damage your crop.

6. Harvest the Grapes

When the harvest season arrives, it’s time to gather your grapes. For harvesting, you will need a specialized grape harvester, such as the Grapeliner Series 7000. Unlike other harvesters, grape harvesters require you to run over the vines. Be sure to first unfold the machine so you don't directly hit the crops.

Once harvested, you’ll need a specific trailer to store and transport your grapes. The MRWK 6000 or LWS 12000 are the two options for grape trailers.

7. Prune Your Grape Vines

To maintain the health of your vineyard and ensure good production in the next cycle, pruning is essential. Pruning involves removing dead wood and any excess growth to allow the grapevines to thrive. Use a machine like the MP 122 Ocea to prune your grapevines and keep the field in shape for the following year.
