The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 tournament has entered a new phase: the Opening Stage is over, with some teams leaving the competition while others continue their fight in the Elimination Stage to advance to the playoffs. This stage provided many tense moments for the viewers, but the snipers playing with the AWP stood out the most. Who among them was the best?

The Opening Stage allowed us to assess individual players whose main weapon is the AWP. We, bo3.gg, analyzed our statistics, including average KPR (kills per round) and ADR (damage per round), to highlight the top five performers.

5. Lucas "nqz" Suarez

With a KPR of 0.281 and an ADR of 24.59 with the AWP, Lucas "nqz" Suarez from paiN confidently secures fifth place on our list. Despite one loss to GamerLegion in a bo1 format, the team managed to move into the Elimination Stage and continues to battle for a place in the playoffs.

4. Ali "Jame" Djami

Ali "Jame" Djami from Virtus.pro showcased statistics of KPR 0.320 and ADR 27.95 with the AWP. However, these results did not help his team advance to the next stage — Virtus.pro finished the tournament with a score of 1-3. Nonetheless, Jame continues to prove that his skills remain at the highest level.

3. Florian "syrsoN" Rische

Florian "syrsoN" Rische from BIG ranks third on the list of top performers. His KPR of 0.321 and ADR of 27.51 with the AWP slightly exceed Jame's statistics. Team BIG successfully passed the RMR stage with a 3-0 score but encountered some issues in the Opening Stage, finishing with a 3-2. It is now preparing for matches in the Elimination Stage.

2. Alistair "aliStair" Johnston

Alistair "aliStair" Johnston from FlyQuest showed impressive KPR 0.337 and ADR 30.81 with the AWP, earning him second. Despite a strong start with a 2-0 record, FlyQuest did not manage to advance to the Elimination Stage. Nevertheless, Alistair's performance deserves special attention.

1. Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch

Leading our list is Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch from The Mongolz. His incredible KPR of 0.507 and ADR of 45.37 with the AWP have become a true sensation. The Mongolz completed the Opening Stage with a flawless 3-0 record, not losing a single map. "910" became a key player whose actions on the map ensured his team's dominance.
