BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR A is now halfway to the end. The first teams have already either been selected for the Major or dropped out of the race. Today, FaZe Clan and Bad News Eagles will make their second attempt to qualify for the championship. Are the ESL Pro League champions so far-fetched? Our analytics will answer this question.
Teams’ form
Before the match against Natus Vincere, FaZe had a 6-match winning streak, including the EPL S17 Grand Final against Cloud9. Bo1 against OG and Apeks on RMR A was hard but satisfactory.
Bad News Eagles, in turn, are similarly stable. It is possible that this year they played only one official match against tier-1. The lack of tournament practice against strong teams cannot have a positive effect. At RMR, the team began its journey with a defeat from 1WIN and rehabilitated with subsequent victories against Viperio and Apeks.
The comparison in the team statistics also demonstrates the superiority of FaZe.
Selection of maps
In the previous match against NAVI, FaZe lost their strongest maps: Inferno and Ancient. However, it is unlikely that BNE should be overly deluded about this, considering that these maps for the "eagles" are the most common, so it will be best to rely on Mirage. FaZe, in this case, will choose Inferno again, and Overpass will be the decider.
Having won the second Major and the Intel Grand Slam, there may be a temptation to relax, even if it occurs on a subconscious level. However, FaZe team has a lot of prestigious achievements and titles at big tournaments unless they had their era, like Astralis. Yes, the very existence of CS:GO is coming to an end, and it will be replaced by CS2, where you can start almost from a clean slate. However, it is unlikely that FaZe will play with their hands full. Nevertheless, it is difficult to doubt the professionalism of these famous five. Karrigan and company may lose the map to the Kosovars but not the game.
Bad News Eagles shouldn't have any problems with motivation either. They beat FaZe at the IEM Rio Major and other tournaments, so they will be mentally ready to repeat their feat.
BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR A takes place from April 6 to 9. Teams are fighting for eight slots for the last Major in the history of CS:GO. The tournament schedule and results can be tracked here.
