IEM Sydney 2023 on Counter-Strike 2 was a real celebration for fans of cybersport, especially the final with FaZe and Complexity. Among the many talented participants, ten players stood out especially brightly, winning the attention of the public with their performance. In this article we will look at their achievements and tell you what made them the best at the tournament.
b1t
Even though NAVI failed to qualify for the playoffs of IEM Sydney 2023, the team specifically spanner in the works of strong teams, even despite the fact that the coach of the squad replaced Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev. The most dangerous player of the Ukrainian club at the tournament was Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy with a rating of 6.8 and a headshot percentage of 67.2%.
electroNic
Valeriy's former teammate, Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, also didn't leave the group with Cloud9. Nevertheless, his refusal to be captain had a positive impact on his individual statistics, allowing him to score a 7.1 rating.
floppy
Finalist of IEM Sydney 2023, 23-year-old American Ricky "floppy" Kemery finished the tournament in second place. Note that the organization has not gone this far at the big events since 2014. Riefler from the United States can already be called one of the strongest players in his region, and in Sydney his rating was 6.3.
torzsi
The first sniper in our list, Adam "torzsi" Torzsas, together with MOUZ ranked 3-4, failed to win the second title in a row. Nevertheless, such a result can be justified by the presence of stand-in, as Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo could not arrive at the championship. 6.3 points is a decent score for the Hungarian.
m0NESY
Another sniper and semi-finalist, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, had a great tournament individually and would have had every chance to make it to the finals, but Complexity left no chance to G2 in a most important match. Only Ilya was able to play a plus game, while Nikola "NiKo" Kovač had one of the worst events of his career. The final m0NESY rating is 7.2.
rain
Håvard "rain" Nygaard is almost 30 years old, but neither age, nor the move to CS2, nor supposedly upcoming replacements (according to some insiders), has stopped him from earning another title to his career and performing to a 6.4 rating.
Grim
Michael "Grim" Wince was another factor that got Complexity through to the finals, showing his worth on the big stage. Sometimes his teammates made more spectacular highlights, but the American's contribution should not be forgotten, and the rating of 6.4 speaks for itself.
ropz
The Estonian won a lot of critical rounds for FaZe in the final bo3, but besides that his performance at the championship was irresistible, which is confirmed by 6.5 rating points. He also became the MVP according to ESL.
EliGE
Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski was close to winning, but he can hardly be blamed for anything. After all, the American was the best player of the final by all indicators, even though Complexity failed to take the first place in the end. Otherwise, he would have been named MVP.
broky
Latvian Helvijs "broky" Saukants ran around the map with AWP in the finals like kennyS in his best years, being a big threat to Complexity, especially when Nuke is taken into account. Like EliGE, he had a final rating of 6.7 for the championship.
