Rainbow Six Siege players are experiencing a serious issue after using Optimizing via NVIDIA App. This feature causes widespread graphical bugs and in some cases even game crashes. Users are massively reporting flashing textures, missing UI elements, and black polygons that stretch across the screen, making the game unplayable.
What is causing the problem?
Players who have optimized Rainbow Six Siege through the NVIDIA App have noted three main types of graphical errors:
- Interference appears instead of models and interface elements - characters and objects become pixelated or distorted.
- Disappearance of some textures on the map - the absence of objects, invisible walls, and incorrect level display.
- Black polygons stretching across the entire screen are giant artifacts that make it impossible to see the map.
The problem most often occurs when players run R6 Siege on DX12, while it is less likely to occur when using DX11 or Vulkan. There is also a suspicion that changing the aspect ratio (for example, from 4:3 to 16:9) may contribute to the bug.

How to repeat the bug?
According to reports on R6Fix, there are two main causes of the problem:
- Using game optimization through the NVIDIA Control Panel or NVIDIA App.
- Running the game on DX12, which may be the only available option for some users.
Ubisoft has already received numerous reports of this issue and is investigating, but there is no official patch yet.

Possible solutions
- Update drivers manually - some users have been able to fix the issue by installing the latest drivers from the official NVIDIA website rather than through automatic updates.
- Switch to DX11 or Vulkan - if you have DX12 enabled, try changing the API in the game settings.
- Reset the graphics settings in the game - if you have been using NVIDIA optimization, reverting to the default settings may help.
Where can I report the problem?
Ubisoft has opened an official thread on R6Fix where players can leave reports and attach evidence. If you have also experienced this issue, you can join the discussion on R6fix.
Until Ubisoft releases an official solution, it is recommended that you avoid using NVIDIA App optimization and change the settings manually.
