Foxy9 leaves DRX's inactive roster and joins Gen.G Esports

Changes continue on the professional Valorant scene in the Pacific region, and today it was announced that Gen.G Esports has finalized its new roster. According to the team's representatives, the last player to join the main lineup is Jung "Foxy9" Jae-sung, who has been competing under DRX's banner for the past two years.

Roster changes in Gen.G Esports

Although the team showed excellent results during the current season, becoming the champion of VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai and finishing 2nd at VCT 2024: Masters Madrid, their performance slightly declined towards the end. At the World Championship, Gen.G Esports placed 9th-12th and were one of the first to exit the event. As a result, the club underwent numerous changes, including the departure of three main roster players: Lakia, Munchkin, and Meteor. Foxy9 played for his previous club for two years, achieving several notable results, including 2nd place at VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 2 and 5th-6th place at VALORANT Champions 2024. Interestingly, the player is quite confident about his future with Gen.G. In his official social media posts, he stated that he joined to win the next World Championship.

It’s worth noting that the team will start competing tomorrow at the TEN Invitational 2024, so we’ll soon see the updated Gen.G Esports roster in action. Stay tuned to our platform to find out how the refreshed lineup performs.
