After the matches of the second round of the group stage of the South America League 2025 — Stage 1, two tournament favorites — w7m and FaZe Clan — confirmed their strength with convincing victories, while FURIA unexpectedly lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas. NIP managed to put up a fight and defeated one of the region's giants, whereas Team Liquid, LOS, and ENX once again failed to handle the pressure and suffered defeats.
On the Nighthaven Labs map, team w7m confidently defeated ENX in the second group stage match. From the start, w7m took the first half 4:2 on Attack, and after switching sides, they won 3 consecutive rounds on defense, winning the map 7:2.

In the second half, FURIA seemed poised for a comeback by taking 3 rounds, but NIP wasn't ready to give up and secured 2 rounds in a row, taking the map 5:7.

On the Clubhouse map, team 9z handled LOS in the second group match. 9z took the first half 4:2 starting on attack, and after switching sides, in a series of traded rounds, 9z emerged victorious and claimed the map 7:4.

After switching sides, LOUD took the second round, and then the teams traded rounds until Black Dragons emerged victorious with a 7:3 score on the map.
