What happened last year: BDS, Liquid, w7m, FURIA

In 2024, the Esports World Cup with Rainbow Six Siege received the status of an S-Tier event with the same prize pool - $2,000,000. The tournament was held in a similar format and ended with the victory of Team BDS, which won the grand final and earned $750,000.

The second place was taken by w7m esports, and Team Liquid and FURIA Esports shared 3-4 places, each team received $160,000. The prize distribution system covered all participants, including outsiders.

What is still unknown

This year, the organizers have only confirmed the total prize pool of $2,000,000, but the details of its distribution among the participants remain unknown. It is expected that this model will remain in place, but adjustments may be made to the new EWC Club Points requirements and Ubisoft rating system.

In the coming weeks, the official announcement of the lineups and the match calendar is expected. The tournament will be a key stage of the season for teams seeking to gain a foothold at the top of the global rankings and compete not only for prize money but also for EWC Club Rankings points.
