Oxygen Esports and Spacestation Gaming became the first North American representatives to secure their spots at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Rainbow Six Siege. The teams advanced to the semifinals of Stage 1 North America League 2025, winning the main prize — slots in the most prestigious tournament of the year.

Oxygen is back on top

Oxygen Esports finished the group stage with a 4–5 record. Their play throughout the stage was inconsistent, but their teamwork was solid. In the quarterfinals of the playoffs, Oxygen easily defeated Wildcard 2–0, securing their ticket to the EWC ahead of schedule.

Spacestation — an unexpected finalist

The second semifinalist was Spacestation Gaming, which initially had a mediocre group stage but managed to overcome the crisis and advance to the playoffs with a 6–3 record. In the quarterfinals, they defeated M80 2–1 in a tense match, also securing a slot at EWC 2025.

The teams played each other in the lower bracket semifinals of the tournament. Spacestation had the advantage with a score of 2-1. Nuers was named MVP of the match with a K/D of 37/28. Spacestation is now awaiting the lower bracket final against Shopify Rebellion for a spot in the grand final, where DarkZero is already waiting.

Why is this important?

EWC 2025 is the most prestigious R6 tournament of the year, which will be held in Saudi Arabia, with a multi-million dollar prize pool and representatives from all regions. Qualifying for this tournament provides both recognition and financial rewards. Oxygen and Spacestation will be the region's flagships in Riyadh.
