Some operators are getting new weapons for aggression, while others are losing familiar advantages. These changes promise to alter team tactics and the usual dynamics on maps.

This is particularly intriguing because the balance in Siege is delicate. Any shift in weaponry can literally turn the game upside down, especially when it involves key characters like Rook, Lesion, or Wamai, whose capabilities directly affect the team's defensive style.

Key Changes of the New Season

In Y10S3, the Reaper MK2 — a submachine gun originally introduced with Rauora in Y10S1 — is now available for Sledge, Ying, Pulse, Oryx, and Rook.

Additionally, Striker receives the DMR SR-25 (formerly with Blackbeard) for attack, while Sentry in defense gets the TCSG12, Kaid’s slug shotgun. Wamai is now equipped with the Super Shorty, but Lesion loses this weapon. Fenrir, on the other hand, is left without the Bailiff 41.

The main sensation is that Rook is now armed with C4 instead of a view blocker, making him more dangerous in terms of map control and stopping enemy advances.

There is also a global change: all automatic defense weapons lose magnifying scopes, except for slug shotguns and DMRs. This will significantly reduce defenders’ long-range capabilities and could dramatically change match dynamics.
