The Europe MENA League 2025 - Stage 1 tournament with Rainbow Six Siege is entering the home stretch. After a month of online battles, the first main heroes of the season have been determined. G2 Esports became the first finalists of the tournament, defeating Virtus.pro and Team Secret in the upper bracket. And Team Secret, despite the defeat, have already secured their ticket to the main event of the year — Siege X Esports World Cup 2025.
G2 Esports continues to prove why it is considered one of the most stable organizations on the European scene. In the playoffs, they did not lose a single series: first, they destroyed Virtus.pro with a score of 2:0, and then defeated Team Secret — 2:1. The game against Secret was the most intense for the Samurai: the first map was close, the second ended in favor of their opponents, but the third went to G2 again, who pulled themselves together and brought the series to victory. Now G2 is waiting for their opponent in the grand final, which will take place on July 22.
Despite losing to G2, Team Secret has already accomplished its main goal in the tournament. In the upper bracket semifinals, they defeated Team Falcons 2-0, securing a spot in the top 3 — which means automatic qualification for the Siege X Esports World Cup, which will take place in Riyadh in the fall. This is the second team from this region to qualify for the world championship — the first was G2.
This success is a great achievement for the Secret team, which has been trying to consistently return to Team 1 status in recent years. Winning a slot at the World Cup is not only a chance to compete for millions, but also an opportunity to reach a new level in terms of media and sponsorship.
Team Falcons, representing the Middle East region, are forced to continue their struggle in the lower bracket. After losing to Secret, they advanced to a match against MACKO Esports. Now they face a new challenge — a series for a place in the losers' final, where they may meet Team Secret again.
Virtus.pro, on the other hand, look tired and unstable. After a confident game against MACKO in the quarterfinals, they lost to G2 without a chance, and now they have to beat Gen.G Esports to at least stay in the tournament. One unsuccessful match — and the “bears” will finish the tournament in 5th-6th place, without a slot in the World Cup and without significant points in the SI Points system.
Europe MENA League 2025 is a new official format from Ubisoft in collaboration with BLAST. It brings together the best teams from Europe and the Middle East in a single league. The Rainbow Six Siege scene has undergone changes recently, and the merged regions have become an opportunity for more competitive competition.
Ten teams are participating in the tournament, including G2, Secret, Virtus.pro, Team Falcons, Gen.G, as well as such renowned tags as Fnatic, Team BDS, WYLDE, and Wolves Esports. However, not everyone lived up to expectations — Fnatic and Wolves were eliminated in the group stage, failing to even make it into the top five.
The prize pool for the competition was €125,000 (~$146,000). The champion will receive €25,000 and 300 SI Points, which is especially important for qualifying for the Six Invitational 2026.
