Today marked the final day of the Asia Pacific League 2025 — Stage 1: APAC North. The day featured the lower bracket finals, where Dplus faced off against SCARZ. The winner of this match would advance to the grand final against FearX, with teams vying for the championship and a spot at the Esports World Cup 2025.
In the lower final, Dplus clinched victory over SCARZ in a tense series to advance to the grand final. The match started poorly for Dplus — on the first map, Chalet, the team lost 5-7, making several crucial defensive errors. However, on Nighthaven Labs, the Brazilian squad completely revamped their play: aggressive attacks and smart rotations allowed them to even the score at 7-4. The fate of the series was decided on Clubhouse, where the teams were nearly evenly matched, but the end went to Dplus — 7-5.
The match's MVP was NearZ, who finished the series with 34 kills and 25 deaths, a KPR of 0.97, and a 62% KOST.
In the grand final, FearX, who advanced through the upper bracket, faced Dplus, who emerged from the lower bracket. The match began unfavorably for Dplus — on the first map, Kafe Dostoyevsky, the team lost 6-8, allowing FearX to make a comeback. On Lair, things started well for FearX, where they dominated their opponent in the first half, finishing it 6-0. Ultimately, FearX defeated Dplus 7-2 on Lair and won the match 2-0 in maps.
The match's MVP was RIN, who completed the series with 24 kills and 11 deaths, a KPR of 1.04, and a 74% KOST.
