A Television Academy anunciou a lista completa de indicados para a 77ª cerimônia do Primetime Emmy Awards, e a série da HBO The Last of Us, baseada na icônica série de videogames de mesmo nome, mais uma vez tomou o centro do palco, garantindo três indicações principais e afirmando seu status como um dos principais projetos dramáticos do ano.

A série pós-apocalíptica conquistou um total de 16 indicações, incluindo em três categorias principais: "Série Dramática Excepcional", "Ator Principal Excepcional em Série Dramática" (Pedro Pascal) e "Direção Excepcional para Série Dramática" (Ali Abbasi pelo episódio "Kin").

O anúncio foi feito durante uma transmissão ao vivo em 15 de julho, apresentada por Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) e Brenda Song (Running Point). A lista completa de indicados aponta para uma das batalhas por prêmios mais acirradas dos últimos anos, com favoritos de temporadas passadas e novos projetos aclamados pela crítica competindo.

Liderando as indicações deste ano está Severance da Apple TV+, que reuniu 27 indicações — o maior número entre as séries. Em seguida vem The Penguin (24 indicações), enquanto The White Lotus e The Studio empataram em terceiro lugar com 23 indicações cada. Outros favoritos incluem Andor (14 indicações), The Bear e Adolescence (13 cada).

Entre os eventos mais notáveis está a primeira indicação de todos os tempos para o lendário ator Harrison Ford, que, aos 83 anos, entrou na lista de indicados por um papel coadjuvante na comédia Shrinking. Ao lado dele, Owen Cooper, de 15 anos, de Adolescence, fez história como o ator mais jovem já indicado a um Emmy.

As indicações foram transmitidas ao vivo do Saban Media Center em Los Angeles. A lista foi anunciada pelos atores Brenda Song (Running Point) e Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) ao lado do presidente da Television Academy, Chris Abrego. A cerimônia deste ano celebra projetos de TV que foram ao ar de 1º de junho de 2024 a 31 de maio de 2025.

A cerimônia do 77º Primetime Emmy Awards ocorrerá no domingo, 14 de setembro, no Peacock Theater em Los Angeles. A transmissão ao vivo será às 20h, horário do Leste (17h, horário do Pacífico), na CBS e transmitida no Paramount+. O anfitrião será o comediante Nate Bargatze.
