La Academia de Televisión ha anunciado la lista completa de nominados para la ceremonia de los 77º Primetime Emmy Awards, y la serie de HBO The Last of Us, basada en la icónica serie de videojuegos del mismo nombre, ha vuelto a tomar protagonismo, asegurando tres nominaciones clave y afirmando su estatus como uno de los proyectos dramáticos más destacados del año.

La serie post-apocalíptica obtuvo un total de 16 nominaciones, incluidas en tres categorías principales: "Mejor Serie Dramática", "Mejor Actor Principal en una Serie Dramática" (Pedro Pascal), y "Mejor Dirección para una Serie Dramática" (Ali Abbasi por el episodio "Kin").

El anuncio se realizó durante una transmisión en vivo el 15 de julio, presentada por Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) y Brenda Song (Running Point). La lista completa de nominados apunta a una de las batallas de premios más reñidas de los últimos años, ya que tanto favoritos de temporadas pasadas como nuevos proyectos aclamados por la crítica compiten.

Liderando las nominaciones de este año está Severance de Apple TV+, que reunió 27 nominaciones, la mayor cantidad para cualquier serie. Le siguen The Penguin (24 nominaciones), mientras que The White Lotus y The Studio empataron en tercer lugar con 23 nominaciones cada una. Otros favoritos incluyen Andor (14 nominaciones), The Bear y Adolescence (13 cada uno).

Entre los eventos más notables está la primera nominación para el legendario actor Harrison Ford, quien, a los 83 años, hizo la lista de nominados por un papel de reparto en la comedia Shrinking. Junto a él, Owen Cooper, de 15 años, de Adolescence, hizo historia como el actor más joven nominado a un Emmy.

Las nominaciones se transmitieron en vivo desde el Saban Media Center en Los Ángeles. La lista fue anunciada por los actores Brenda Song (Running Point) y Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) junto al presidente de la Academia de Televisión, Chris Abrego. La ceremonia de este año celebra proyectos de televisión que se emitieron desde el 1 de junio de 2024 hasta el 31 de mayo de 2025.

La ceremonia de los 77º Primetime Emmy Awards se llevará a cabo el domingo 14 de septiembre en el Peacock Theater en Los Ángeles. La transmisión en vivo será a las 8:00 PM hora del Este (5:00 PM hora del Pacífico) en CBS y se transmitirá por Paramount+. El anfitrión será el comediante Nate Bargatze.
