Predictions
13:59, 14.10.2023

Today at 21:00 EEST, the Brasil Game Show 2023 match between FURIA and paiN will take place. The mini-tournament for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive featuring four teams is taking place within the same-named gaming festival in the Brazilian city of São Paulo. The CS:GO event has a prize pool of $12,000.
Individual Form
The teams will meet for the first time in updated rosters, as paiN, due to numerous replacements, has lost its high positions in the rankings and now needs to climb back up. FURIA is an ESL partner, so they get invitations to most events and don't have to go through the crucible of the tier-2-3 scene.

In the new season, FURIA played seven tournaments, and the highest achievement was second place at Pinnacle Cup 5, where they lost to 00NATION. The rest of the events ended much worse, but the results reflect the team's level of play. In CS:GO, FURIA didn't have time to find themselves and started actively training in Counter-Strike 2, so their form in the old version of the game might not be the best.

PaiN has even played its first tournaments on CS2 but is still playing events on CS:GO (such as CCT South America Season 12). Therefore, the team should be in better shape than their opponent. This is confirmed by second places at CCT South America Season 10 and CBCS 2023 Season 2, and victory at CCT South America Season 11.
Map Pool
In the map pool, paiN also has an advantage, not playing Ancient, a decent map of the opponent. However, FURIA themselves ban Anubis, the worst map for paiN. PaiN feels better on each of the remaining maps. Yes, these indicators were achieved against opponents of a much lower level than FURIA, but those victories certainly add confidence to the team in its capabilities.

Most likely, paiN will choose either Vertigo or Overpass. From FURIA, something can be expected from the pair Mirage, Nuke. The decider will go down to Inferno.
Forecast
This match, essentially, is exhibition and fan-based. However, for paiN, it will carry much more weight than for FURIA, as underdogs always go all out against favorites, and for a young team, triumph over legends is never superfluous. Besides, Kauê "kauez" Kaşçuk, who joined paiN from FURIA Academy, will have individual motivation.

So, considering the lack of seriousness of the match for FURIA, its importance for paiN, the form of the teams at the latest tournaments, and the situation with map pools, we believe that paiN will achieve victory.
