FaZe vs Falcons Match Prediction and Analysis - BLAST Rivals Spring 2025
FaZe vs Falcons Match Prediction and Analysis - BLAST Rivals Spring 2025

The match between Falcons and FaZe opens a new round of confrontation between the two titled teams in the group stage of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. This match will be held in Bo3 format, and its importance should not be underestimated - the winner will significantly improve their chances of reaching the playoffs. Over the past six months, the teams have met three times: Falcons won the last two matches (2:0 and 2:1), while FaZe were stronger only once, back at the RMR stage. This statistic adds intrigue to the upcoming meeting.

Current form of the teams

Falcons come to the match after a rather intense performance at IEM Melbourne, where the team reached the final but lost to Vitality with a score of 2-3. During the tournament, they confidently defeated GamerLegion, MOUZ, and NAVI, but lost twice to Vitality. In general, Falcons demonstrate a stable level in matches against top opponents. Over the past five games, Falcons have won three games, but lost two matches against Vitality.

FaZe, on the other hand, performed weaker at IEM Melbourne - they were eliminated in the group stage after defeating The MongolZ and GamerLegion. Before that, they showed a decent game at PGL Bucharest, reaching the semifinals. FaZe's last five matches included two defeats and three wins, but the victories were over weaker opponents (3DMAX, paiN, Complexity).

Mappool

FaZe has a much narrower working mappool. The best card is Ancient (68%, 22 maps), followed by Anubis (55%) and Dust2 (53%). However, it was on Dust2 and Mirage that FaZe suffered defeats from Falcons. FaZe's performance on Inferno, Train, and Mirage ranges from 43-50%, and the team does not demonstrate a confident performance on any of these maps.

Falcons have a flexible and competitive mappool. The team has the best results on Dust2 (65%, 20 maps) and Mirage (63%, 16 maps). Ancient (56%) and Nuke (56%) also look good. Inferno and Train have weak numbers - 33% and 42% respectively, and Anubis is traditionally banned.

Previous meetings

Over the past six months, Falcons and FaZe have played each other three times, and the statistics are definitely on the side of the team from Saudi Arabia. Falcons defeated FaZe twice in 2025: first, in a 2-0 dry spell at the PGL Cluj-Napoca, and then in a tense 2-1 match at the PGL Bucharest. FaZe's only other victory was at the RMR tournament five months ago, when the Falcons' roster was not yet in its current form. These results not only add to the Falcons' psychological advantage, but also indicate that the coaching staff is adapting well to the FaZe style.

Prediction

Considering the form, the recent win card and personal statistics, the Falcons have a significant advantage. They have already beaten FaZe twice in a row over the past two months - with scores of 2:1 and 2:0. On most maps, Falcons either have better winrates or have beaten FaZe directly. If FaZe doesn't offer any new solutions in spades/bans or play more aggressively from the first rounds, the match will most likely end in a Falcons victory. We expect 3 maps, where Falcons will win with a score of 2:1.

Prediction: Falcons will win with a score of 2:1.

BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 will take place from April 30 to May 4. The entire tournament will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the BLAST studio. Participants are competing for a prize pool of $350,000. You can follow the results and progress of the tournament through this link.
