Predictions
20:46, 09.04.2025
As part of the group stage of PGL Bucharest 2025, we will see a decisive confrontation between Falcons and The MongolZ - both teams have a 2-2 record and will fight for a place in the playoffs. The match will be held in Bo3 format, and the winner will continue to fight for the main prize, while the loser will leave the tournament. Over the past six months, the teams have not met each other, which only increases the unpredictability of this game. Judging by the form of the teams and their mappings, we can expect a full-fledged series of three maps.
Falcons have somewhat leveled off after a poor start: defeats against Complexity and GamerLegion are followed by victories over paiN (2:1) and Rare Atom (2:0). However, the team lacks stability: the team failed to show a confident game in previous tournaments and often failed to win matches even against outsiders.

Falcons.
The team has rather mediocre statistics on most maps: Mirage looks like the best option (55%, 11 matches). Ancient (46%) and Nuke (36%) look less stable, though not too effective. Dust2 (50%) is a situational map. Inferno (33%) and Anubis (25%) have the worst results.
The MongolZ
The team from Asia has a wider map pool. Their best maps are Inferno (77%) and Mirage (64%). Ancient (59%) and Dust2 (62%) are stable options. The worst performer is Train, which has not been played at all recently. In general, The MongolZ feel confident on any map except Train and Nuke.
Map | Falcons WR | M | B | Last 5 matches Falcons | The MongolZ WR | M | B | Last 5 matches The MongolZ |
Anubis | 25% | 4 | 17 | - | 71% | 14 | 8 | L, L, W, L, W |
Inferno | 33% | 12 | 17 | L, W, L, L, W | 77% | 13 | 3 | W, L, W, W, L |
Train | 44% | 9 | 3 | L, L, L, L, W | 0% | 0 | 20 | - |
Nuke | 36% | 11 | 4 | W, L, L, L | 50% | 8 | 18 | L, W, L, W, L |
Ancient | 46% | 13 | 9 | W, W, L, W, L | 59% | 22 | 0 | L, W, L, W, L |
Dust II | 50% | 16 | 4 | L, L, W, L, L | 62% | 13 | 12 | L, W, W, L, L |
Mirage | 55% | 11 | 4 | W, W, W, W, L | 64% | 22 | 1 | W, W, W, L, W |
On paper, The MongolZ look stronger due to their more stable mapped training and better results at the individual level. Falcons can catch on with Train or Ancient, but it may not be enough. If The MongolZ doesn't give away strong maps to the opponent, they have every chance of winning the Bo3 series. The probability of three maps is very high - the teams' styles are different, and both have shown that they can win in a crisis situation.
