Team Vitality's CS2 sniper, Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut, reflected on his form at the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023. The French esports player shared his thoughts in an interview with HLTV.
ZywOo noted that his high level of play at the recent tournament was motivated by a desire to prove to fans that he is good in the new version of Valve's shooter. Herbaut also stated that this was just the beginning.
We had a lot of problems in the team after Sydney, we had a lot of things on our mind, so obviously we didn't play our best. After that, I didn't watch Twitter or anything, but I knew people would start to speak about my level in the new game, and I think I started to have a bit of ego to show them what I'm capable of.It was just the beginning and I just wanted to show them that even if we fail one tournament, it doesn't matter. If you think you can still do it, you can do it. It was on my mind before joining this tournament that I would do my best, and even if I'm bad or good, I'll do my best for my team, and I think I did great.
