Coaches of Team Vitality and Team Falcons in Counter-Strike 2, Rémi XTQZZZ Quoniam and Danny zonic Sørensen, have been included in the list of candidates for the Best Esports Coach of 2023. The list of nominees was published on the official website of The Game Awards.
zonic's Achievements
For most of 2023, Sørensen coached Vitality's CS2 roster. With this team, he won three trophies. Vitality became the champion of IEM Rio 2023, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, and Gamers8 2023. On November 1, zonic left the French club and joined Falcons.
XTQZZZ's Achievements
Until August 2023, Quoniam was without a team, and then signed a contract with TSM. Under his leadership, the North American organization's CS2 lineup did not win a single tournament. In October, XTQZZZ moved to Vitality, with whom he did not have the chance to debut in competitions.
This nomination sparked a wave of criticism in the community. After this, the French coach himself called on the event organizers to remove him from the list of candidates for the Best Esports Coach of 2023.
Let's be serious 2 min. I wasn't even a coach this year....Take me off the list.
