YaLLa Esports, the prominent tournament organizer based in the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled plans for an ambitious tournament circuit for 2025. Qualifying Format:
- The qualifying format mirrors the structure used in the 2024 circuit, featuring Spring and Fall "Contenders" stages.
- Each stage will have a 16-team, best-of-three Swiss group stage, followed by a single-elimination, best-of-three playoff bracket.
- Unlike the 2024 circuit, the Main stage in 2025 will not directly qualify teams to the LAN final. Instead, the top two teams from each Main stage will advance to a closed qualifier before the main event.
Key Dates:
- Contenders Swiss Stage: July 29 - August 22, 2024
- Main Swiss Stage: August 26 - September 19, 2024
- Playoffs: September 23 - 25, 2024
The addition of these YaLLa Compass tournaments brings the total number of events in 2025 to 25. The scheduling of the first LAN final cleverly fits into the only free days between a PGL-hosted tournament and an ESL-hosted tournament, ensuring maximum participation and viewership.
This expanded circuit not only highlights YaLLa Esports' commitment to growing the competitive scene in the MENA region but also provides more opportunities for teams worldwide to compete at the highest level.
