North American esports entity Wildcard has its sights set on up-and-coming Brazilian talent, engaging in preliminary discussions with Case to acquire the services of the 17-year-old prodigy, João "snow" Vinicius. No formal proposition has been tabled as of yet, but the young player is reported to have entered negotiations with Wildcard, a team currently helmed by Brazilian coach João "horvy" Horvath.
Having made a splash in the esports pool in 2020 at just 13, snow was initially a reserve for BOOM during Gamers Club Masters V. His journey since then has seen him refine his skills with Young Gods and Los Grandes Academy, eventually leading to his pivotal role with Case starting March 2023.
As Wildcard navigates the post-departure phase of Gage "Infinite" Green, their search for a robust fifth player has led them to trial Qihao "C4LLM3SU3" Su in online competitions. Nonetheless, the acquisition of snow could potentially offer a fresh dynamic to the team's roster.
Wildcard's recent international appearance at IEM Chengdu saw them make an exit at the 13th-16th place, contending with teams like Virtus.pro and Cloud9. With the addition of snow, Wildcard hopes to fortify their lineup and position themselves more strongly in future competitive outings.
