The first open qualifier for the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 starts tomorrow at 17:00. It's time to look at the list of participants.
At the time of writing, over 700 teams have joined the qualifier. However, only those who finish from first to fourth place will make it to the closed qualifier.
There will be a total of four such qualifiers. Let's now look at the list of participants for the PGL Major | EU Open Qualifier #1.
Among the most well-known, we should mention BLEED Esports, Heroic, HAVU, Sprout, OG Esports, 9INE, Endpoint, TSM.
And from the tier-2 teams, we can highlight Espionage, ALTERNATE aTTaX, IKLA, GODSENT, EYEBALLERS, ALLIANCE, Entropiq, ESC Gaming, B8 Esports.
The team that wins the qualifier will have to play 12 consecutive matches and win all of them, as the tournament is structured with a Single Elimination system without a lower bracket. Furthermore, up to the top-8, all matches will be played in BO1 format, and afterwards in BO3.
Also, it's worth reminding that both open and closed qualifiers will take place on the ChallengerMode platform, which has an anti-cheat system called Akros-Anticheat. However, if you have ever encountered it, you know that it's practically non-functional.
Moreover, the ChallengerMode platform itself, due to the huge influx of players, will constantly be lagging, as was the case in previous qualifiers. Ordinary players should be wished luck and patience, as there's a high likelihood of cheaters, delays, and lags in the qualifiers.
