What if NAVI didn't sell m0nesy?

Aleksandar kassad Trifunović, a CS:GO analyst, shared his thoughts on the Natus Vincere team. During his appearance on the Hot Take Point Made podcast on YouTube, he expressed his opinion that the team could have kept Ilya m0NESY Osipov in their lineup and used him together with Oleksandr s1mple Kostyliev to create more aggressive strategies.

Aleksandar stated:

Right now, NAVI as a team is making bad decisions one after another. I've acknowledged B1ad3's merits, and I still consider him one of the best CS:GO coaches, but some of the substitutions, like sdy for npl, are completely unjustified. So many unnecessary decisions: changing players' positions, replacing the captain, although they were forced to do so. Just imagine a scenario in which they didn't sell m0NESY? If they were smart enough to keep m0NESY in the club and put him in the role of a sniper. And give s1mple the opportunity to do whatever he wants — he can be a rifler or a second sniper. Imagine me — B1ad3, we're playing on Mirage. I have m0NESY holding mid as a CT, and electronic and s1mple are playing the other part of the map. We can go connector and nobody's on short, we can double peek short, we can aggressively go to point A. Because I have m0NESY holding mid and s1mple holding connector, short, or whatever. The same on Inferno. Want to play with two AWP on Inferno? Sure, go ahead. Send m0NESY to B, and s1mple to A, rotate around the map. <...> So many options. In that case, electronic would be an even better captain.

From 2020 to 2022, Ilya m0NESY Osipov played for NAVI Junior, but then he moved to the G2 Esports team.

It should be noted that the G2 organization bought out Ilya for over $600,000!

The next major event for both teams will be the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, which will take place from May 8 to 21 in France. Osipov and his team will start their journey in the tournament at the Challengers stage, while Oleksandr s1mple Kostyliev's team will start at a higher stage - the "Legends" stage.

This tournament will be the last event in the CS:GO BLAST.tv series and will attract 24 teams competing for a prize pool of $1.25 million. In addition, the tournament winner will receive slots at IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023.
