On October 31, 2023, it became known that the organization Natus Vincere signed an eighteen-year-old sniper from Ukraine — Igor w0nderful Zhdanov.
Previously, w0nderful played for the German organization Sprout, and today it was confirmed that the Ukrainian organization Natus Vincere reached an agreement for Igor to join the team's lineup. He will take the place of the former sniper of the team, Oleksandr s1mple Kostyljev, who went inactive on October 26.
During his time in the professional scene, w0nderful has played 141 matches. His most significant achievement was winning the FiReLEAGUE 2022: Global Finals, with a prize pool of $150,000.
Interestingly, over the last six months, the young sniper's average rating on all maps has not dropped below 6.4:
Here is how w0nderful commented on his transfer to such a renowned organization:
I'm excited to join such a legendary organization as NAVI! It was my biggest dream ever since I started playing CS. It's obvious, right? I know that it's hard to fully replace a player of s1mple's caliber and fulfill everyone's expectations, but trust me, I'll do everything in my power!
Shout out to all the fans and friends who support me, and huge thanks to Natus Vincere for giving me this life-changing opportunity to step onto the big stage alongside my favorite team!
The roster of the NAVI organization for Counter-Strike 2 now looks as follows:
The first tournament for the "Born to Win" in their updated lineup will be the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023. It is scheduled to start on November 22, 2023, with the final day taking place on November 26. Before the start of the competition, the team will gather for a training camp in Barcelona, where, in addition to training, they will also work with the new NAVI performance coach, Ursula Xirreth Klimchak.
