The Ukrainian E-Sports Federation (UESF) has issued another bans to cyber athletes. A representative of the company shared information about this.
Who's banned from CS:GO?
Professional CS:GO players Igor "w0nderful" Zhdanov and Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotja have been banned by the UESF. Both esports athletes are accused of playing on the same team as Russians, as well as showing no support for Ukraine in the war with Russia. Previously, Zhdanov competed for the Russian Team Spirit and now represents Sprout, which also includes Russian Danill "alpha" Demin. In turn, Plakhotya first played for the Spirit academy and has recently been playing for the main roster. Both teams have Russian players.
Who else got banned?
In addition to w0nderful and zont1x, professional Dota 2 players Ilya Yatoro Mulyarchuk and Miroslav Mira Kolpakov received bans from UESF. Both cybersportsmen, like the xers mentioned earlier, play for Spirit along with the Russians. Earlier, a potential IKLA UA player Zahar Polbandana Siledchik also received a ban. Read more about it in the material.
Who else is at risk?
Other individuals at risk include Natus Vincere representatives — Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy. Both previously played on teams with Russian players. However, NAVI and s1mple in particular actively donate to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A UESF manager posted that s1mple and b1t were banned, but immediately deleted the post.
What does a UESF ban entail?
Esports athletes who receive a ban will not be able to get permission to travel abroad during martial law to participate in tournaments. They are also prohibited from representing Ukraine in competitions and participating in championships under the auspices of the Ukraine Esports Federation.
