Vitality sweep Virtus.pro to enter Grand final of IEM Winter 2021

The first semifinal of IEM Winter 2021 has come to a close and the first finalist is decided. Vitality has beaten Virtus.pro.

The first map was picked by Vitality and was pretty close. Vitality used every opportunity in the attack on Mirage to take 7 rounds in the half. They just needed to do better than Virtus.pro on the CT side and they did. Mirage was finished with a score of 16-13 in favor of Vitality.

The map picked by Virtus.pro was Vertigo and it was as close as the first map. The CIS team did surprisingly well on the T side taking 9 rounds, but they couldn’t keep the momentum and finish the game. Vitality came back to take the second map with a score of 16-13.

Kevin “misuuta” Rabier did a good job on both maps and became the man of the match finishing the game with KD 1.69.

Virtus.pro leave the tournament, while Vitality are waiting for the of NIP vs G2 clash to fight for the championship.
