IEM Katowice traditionally gathers the best teams in the world, and reaching the grand final is one of the key achievements of the season. For Vitality, this tournament was an opportunity to prove their strength once again, and for The Mongolz, it was a chance to gain experience in major LAN tournaments and to challenge the dominance of top teams. However, the French organization proved stronger and stopped the Asian team, who had earlier surprised many with their gameplay.

Confident Performance by Vitality

The Mongolz chose Mirage, where an equally matched battle unfolded from the beginning. Vitality started with a series of five rounds, to which their opponents responded with five consecutive rounds of their own. However, the end of the first half was in favor of Vitality, who switched sides with an advantage. The second half was under their control: despite the exchange of rounds, the French carried the map to victory 13:7.

On Nuke, their pick, Vitality faced some difficulties at the start—the Mongolz took the first two rounds. However, the French then seized the initiative, securing a streak of eight consecutive rounds. The first half ended with a score of 8-4. On defense, Vitality confidently reached match point, winning four more rounds, but their opponents attempted a comeback with a five-round winning streak. However, at the last step, The Mongolz lacked the strength, and Vitality closed the map at 13:9, securing a 2-0 win in the series.
